The concept of the Artist Finance and Business Development Division presented by a representative of Morehead’s Connections, an authorized Government Technical Assistance Provider, offers the artist seeking start-up or expansion capital, an opportunity to submit an application for funding using the Express Loan Program up to $50,000 with little to no documentation required.
Meanwhile, the business development component educates artists about the importance of restoring and maintaining personal credit, developing business credit, and developing a solid business plan to set the precedence to maintain control of their own music care.
Embracing and implementing the finance and business development concept, Optimus’ CEO, Jerry Adams and Morehead’s Connections recently entered into a partnership agreement to empower aspiring artists to improve personal and career financial positions.
“A program such as this will help a lot of aspiring artists achieve their dreams and still be in control of their own music careers as successful musical entrepreneurs. This is a golden time to be an independent artist,” said Adams. “Labels aren’t spending an astronomical amount of money on artists. Artists basically have to make their own way these days.”
