A Promise Made; A Promise Kept: Matthew 1:22; Luke 2:6-7

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins.  And so it was that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

Continuing my writing on scriptures related to the prophesied Christ and His birth, today's focus is God keeping His promise of sending forth His only begotten Son to be the Savior of the world this His sacrificial death on the cross of Calvary.

God keeping His promise tells us the true nature of God, our heavenly Father. He is love, faithful in keeping His word, and merciful in His dealings with humankind. Man's sins demanded Justice, but mercy took its place in the form of Jesus Christ.

As we celebrate this Christmas, let us remember the True Meaning of Christ that there would be no Christmas to celebrate without the birth of Christ.
