A walk to the edge of the city. A model to prevent urban crime and negative juvenile behavior.

This is a Social Justice issue.  It also goes to the Doctrine of the Church universal.

I would like to talk about the implementation of the old school method of where our society of elders interview our youth and adults who participate in negative behavior before the courts.

 I think we should "Cane them" as would happen in days past and still happens in other countries today.  Countries who buy the way have virtually no crime problems.

You don't want to go to school?  Cane them!

You want to disrespect your mother?  Cane them.

You don't want to work a job?  Cane them!

You want to carry a gun around on the streets?  We are going to walk to the edge of the city a have a talk there.

You want to shoot somebody?  

You want to steal something ?

Crime would drop quickly and we would not have need for prisons.

Do we allow crime because crime is big business?

What are your thoughts?

really------i think caning them is what brought them to where they are---------be it the physical- flesh---tearing--bone-cracking---sexual-molestation==caning of abuse---- or the mental caning of phycological--systematic-mind==melting---spirit quenching--verbal abuse----or the soul freezing affects of neglect======violence begets violence======why look to other countries abusive methods . When our Lord and Saviour commmissioned us to teach ----reach===feed====He said start in Jerusalem=====whenever you see Jerusalem---think home======in the book of Jude it states "Dear friend do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Fear is a good motivater===but fear doesn.t always cure the probem====The fear of God is the only fear===we should consider and that is the way to wisdom===reverence. slavery -tactics-------threats of physical punishment---fear----these things sometimes work in reverse====be careful====God's love is easir than adoptinf methods from places that may not even know God.

I am looking for ways to prevent our children from killing each other. Other countries know God, They may havew another name for God but we all have the same determination that is Enlightenment.
These countries have very little crime. Does our knowing God and having faith in Christ mean we have to tolerate the abuses you listed and murder also in the name of being faithful to a religion?

Why does an alledged God fearing nation like ours allow the deaths of its people at the rate we allow ours?

amen====i would like to think that man has a responsibility and accountibility in these matters. Yes other countries know God in a form or fashion===but unlike the sentiment we hold for Shakesphere's rose. God of another name is not God====and Enlightenment?===anyway-------if you feel fear is a good determent for the problems of youth--go for it=====fear has not stopped anything----in this century or the last---even the fear of God has not stopped those that know better from actting out=====but you go ahead in this unbalanced age--and give those that esteem our children not---a free pass to cane our children---and Rachel wont be the only one crying=======the abuses i listed==== == tolerance ---- faith====come out of the inner court ====the abuses i listed has nothing to do with what we have toi tolerate in our faith ---it has to do with what will we ===with our faith do to help bring about change===our children are dying from a lack of knowledge of the goodness and the mercy of our Lord and

Bless you. I can decern your passion for the subject and for God's people. I am interested in your thoughts as they may further inform my thinking as I seek a strategy to not just talk about change in this culture of violence but to participate in the act of that change occuring. The countries that I speak of specifically ar Japan, Thailand and Viet Nam, Countries I have visited recently specifically to examine the quality of life for the perspective of the World Health Organizations and CDC's "SocaialDeterminants of Heallth.
I am in New Orleans where every other day there is another killing and we have to discover ways to stop it.
You are so very right when you say education is the way out. I could not agree more. We have to impress upon them, our youth the importance of an education. If you are educated, race dosen't matter!

Let me go back again and say that the first thing we do is teach our children what is expected of them. They must be instructed as children that there are high expectations of them by the parents, the community and society.

After they have been instructed, we hold them accountable. Yes, we can seek to hold civic leaders, rappers, actors, businesses, athletes and an array of others, who should be held accountable. But we also must raise the standard for what we expect from and of our children.

I find it interesting that teachers we not listed among those who should be held accountable. Should they not be among the first to be held accountable, after all, it is their job to teach. Many urban students of color are failing because teachers are not teaching, yet they continue to get paid. Who else continues to get paid year after year with 40% failure rate? Yet you suggest we give them a raise!

No i do not suggest giving them a raise---money would help their situation on a financial level===but if the drive and desire to teach our children was there. a way could have been found===educators should not be the first in line to be held accountable for our childrens moral and social education---parents---family====church====if there is no moral equipping going on in a child'slife---if there is not teaching of what is right or wrong===if there is a blurred line in a childs home---church etc. about morallity===then do not expect a person who is sometimes in it for the money or even a teacher who is overwhelmed to have the time or inclination to teach our children the moral lessons that is eeded to thrive in social or private settings===the ball stops at home---its a vicious cycle=====parents don,t parent or cannot parent because of their pain===past===or personal nightmares of the past---where can our children turn to to get advise===who becomes their role models===not every absent father===mother is on drugs or drink===some parents are working 2 or three jobs---where is the churches accountibility====what is in place for the children----how many ministries are geared towards the transition from the world to the church=====who can counsel===rape victems===victems of incest====brutality inflicted on people who come to the church after hearing the clarion call===just to find no solution but ==to take it to the Lord in prayer======where can the parents who got jacked as children go to heal===so they do not continue the generational curses===where can they get equipped to equip their children====what ministries are in place for real problems====do we just throw away those who do not fit in assimilate--in a timely manner===do we throw away the new converts that really believe that the church is a hospital---a healing place==yesssssss there should be accountibility=======but who is the answer to "MY PEOPLE ARE DYING FROM THE LACK OF KNOWLEDGE===read the whole passage===who is God saying should step up
