What I'm about to say may get me in trouble with my Apostolic people but it has to be said, Everything isn't a calling, Let's look at the deep folks if you will;

1. Singing or in the Choir: (but we must sing a new song to the Lord so our praise can be fresh.)
2. Ministers Prayer team. (Alter workers are good, but don't make it a calling, you are a Minister.
3. Cooking Ministry (Did God really call you to cook, really.)
4. Drama Team (lets go to the next one.lol.)
5. Usher (It was fun being an usher but its not a calling)
6. Bible Bowl (We gotta read our bible; no doubt)

I can go on and on, It just don't make sense to me, People love to use these above ministrys to use for a excuse not to witness what a shame before God, I would witness but I'm in the choir, and after that I'm so busy with my family,

Let me convert you; Your first calling is when you received the Holy Ghost, you was a automatic witness, according Acts 1:8

The word ministry means to "give aid" something that serves as an agency, instrument, or means, in this sense to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Now i t appears that the list you presented could easily fit into this, but you are speaking of callings, not ministries. We are endowed with the Power of the Holy Ghost to witness. We are in ministries to witness.

Now this is were it get's tricky, the bible says that one should rather be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.... yes there is more to do than usher, but maybe that is all one is called to do? don't really know, for I know some ushers that witness the goodness of the Lord on that door, just because they are there, and not at the block somewhere as in times of old?

Just picture the witness that lil Wayne would have if he gave his life to the Lord and started singing in a choir, that maybe his calling? I don't know

I could come up with scenarios for them all, and I think again on Saul putting his armor on David, and David taking it off.

Again I have to say I agree with you, for I 've seen those that had to rest from the choir, so that they could deeper in the word, I look at one each day in the mirror, I had a different calling?, that I had to walk in.
Rev wiilliams I fully agree you first must be a witness before you can do any thing else how could you sing if you are to busy to witness singingshould be a form of witness not just a postion in the church i agree every one is looking for a titlte but a lot dont want all the that is required there is a man calling and a calling by God .
So True Revt...I totally agree..
Amen Rev, amen!! The harvest is plentiful, but the real laborers are few!!
I tell you Rev you got me laughing!!!!! what you said is so true and right on the mark I guess the question is when will this non sense stop and get down to some REAL KINGDOM WORK !!!!!!!!!
