According to Psalm 91:11-12 Angels are described as sent to help man as he strives to live this life

here on earth. Specifically (verses 11-12). For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep

thee in all thy ways. Yhey shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Let's take a look at the types of angels.

1. Seraphim

2. Cherubin

3. Thrones

4. Dominions (dominations)

5. Virtues

6. Powers (potentates)

7. Principalities

8. Archangels

9. Angels

Versions of the word "angel" occur in the languages of many different cultures. The Greek word

angelostranslates to mean messenger.Angelos derives from the Hebrew term mal'akhn, which

means "the shadow side of God." the Latin word angelus also refers to a type of messenger.

Angirasis from Sankrit, and means "divine spirit" and the Persian term angaros translates to

courier .The official Latin term that eventually became affixed to any traditional religious view of angels

is "Angelus Occidentalis" which describes any celestial servant of the leader of a monotheistic

religion such as Christianity or Judaism. There are 9(nine) orders of Angels. Each will be discussed

in future posts.

Thank you for this post. My bible study is doing a study on angels and I am delighted to share this with them :-)
Very interesting! I'm told that everyone has their own ANGEL!

@Marchelle;

their own angel???  I beg the differ...  God has encamped a host of angels to keep charge over us... So we're surrounded by the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit as well.  So there is no need for any of us to be lonesome....

Amen...
