Becoming An Elder

I really heard of a minister going through deacons training and coming out an elder. Can this be explained? Sounds like titles are just being handed out. What is the process in your church for this process?

TRAITS of Bishops and Deacons: IF a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work, A bishop must be blameless, the husband of ONE wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarralsome, not covetousl one who ruless his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence. for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God? CANNOT be a novice in the scripture, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the Same condemnation as the devil.

Deacons must be reverent, not double-minded or double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy for money; holding the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience......These FIRST be tested; then let them serve as deacons, being found blameless. their wives must be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things...

obtain for themmselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in The Messiah..They are the pillars and ground of Truth 1 Timothyy 3:1-16...Overseer , no addictions, cannot be a new convert, Ezek.44:21 hidden truth has been entrusted to them...Matt. 25:21, John 1:14 Roman 10:18

The process is : Be consistent and able to love and serve God's people....demonstrate the teachings in measures of faith and powere of the gifts in their lifestyle and their homes. Be led to give 100% of time to HEAR the voice of YHWH for direction and make whatever shortcomings he sees in others his opportunity to Love them until they are strengthened. Strong in his discipleship humble to admit to his own shortcomings

Amien...If scripture would truly be the ONLY path of instructions used in the Body of Messiah.....the husband of one wife would eliminate a great portions of Bishops to sit down and let the ANOINTED of Yahweh...healing go forth for their sin sick souls..and then they could find their true position in the work of the Kingdom...no condemnation..
