should a pastor correct someone who has an open forum for comments and question during their presenation; when a scripture is missed quoted?

While I find it difficult to do myself, the 'right' thing to do is to publicly correct anyone when they are misusing the scriptures. Mis quoting of scripture is another matter, because there are a number of ways most any scripture may be translated, especially Hebrew!

If the misquote does not alter the original meaning or intent of the scripture, then let it slide. If the misquote is used to support a questionable doctrine (teaching) then it needs to be challenged, and both the doctrine and the supporting scriptures are to be examined.
thank you for your response to the statement of being politically correct it did help me feel better because it was a misquoting of scripture that alter the original meaning of the scripture.
