Therefore I say unto you, What things so ever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Oftentimes many will ask or say why aren't my prayers effective? The answer is found in our scripture text, which states that we must believe in our prayers. In doing so we are expressing faith in what we are asking and or thanking God for. God hears all of our prayers and will answer. God knows the desires of our heart and will answer according to what is best for the prayer.

We are to align our prayers with the will of God as stated in the model Prayer recorded in Matthew 6:10. Aligning our wills with that of the Lord's we are acknowledging that yes, God is supreme; He is all knowing and is the creator of all creations.

Most importantly, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior taught us how to pray. We must always honor God for who He is, His awesome powers and His provisional care (Matthew 6:11, Philippians 4:19 KJV).

Prayers are needed and are being made.
