Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Living in a fallen world, troubles beset us and we sometimes lose our focus on who is in control. In our human nature, we tend to focus on our problem instead of God Almighty who is all knowing, sees all and can do all.

Our scripture text provides encouragement by stating that we are not to fear because the Lord our God is with us. He will strengthen us providing the necessary strength to weather the storm and more importantly, He will uphold us with His hand of righteousness; then what is to fear?

When the storms of life arise as they will, remember Jesus spoke to the wind and calm the sea; He can speak and calm the troubled waters of your life (Mark 4:39-40). Remember also, Jesus has overcome the world; therefore, be cheerful (John 16:33).

Trouble doesn't last always.
