And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep [me] from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

As we begin a new year, we do so with thanksgiving in our hearts and praises on our lips for the goodness that the Lord God has bestowed upon us this past year.  We ask God for His continued blessings in the New Year, taking us higher in our walk with Him as we are God-focused and Christ-centered.

Being God-focused and Christ-centered, we can say like Jabez by asking God to enlarge our territory so that we may accomplish even greater works in the Lord.

Let me close by wishing all a Happy and prosperous New Yea.
