Psalm 18:2-6

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from mine enemies. In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God; He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry came before Him, even unto His ears.

Our scripture verses answer the implied question of God being our deliverer because of His ability to provide all that we need as well as His hand of protection. God is our deliverer because He is sovereign and would not have created man in His likeness and image and then leave him to defend himself.

God defends His children being that He is the rock that we can go to when there is nowhere else to turn. A rock is solid and unmoveable so is our God. God as our fortress is a form of protection providing safety from all the hidden snares laid by Satan; therefore, God through His Spirit and Word directs our paths and lights our way. God as our fortress provides a shield that the enemy cannot penetrate. God as our buckler is another from of His protective armor shielding us from hurt, harm and danger. God as our high tower is Him lifting us high above the evil forces of this world that is designed to entrap us in it demonic morals.

In our weakest moments God's strength takes over that allows us to remain steadfast in faith as He is the horn of our salvation where He has brought us safely from a life of unrighteousness to one of righteousness using His band of love cords.

Therefore, He is worthy to be praised, trusted and glorified. He is the God that answers when you call; My God, my deliverer.
