I am a Senior  Pastor who happens to be single and happy, though I hope to marry when God sends that special one to me. I am constantly questioned about my status and always have no shortage of folk playing matchmaker to hopefully marry me off,but I refuse to marry the wrong person for the sake of satisfying anyone else besides God and myself.Curious to hear your opinions on this subject.

Proverbs 14:2-12 He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him. In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them. Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox. A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies. A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth. Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge. The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit. Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour. The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy. The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish. There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Wait on God. Like Tricia stated members want their Pastor married. However, they don't know the one nor the plan that God has for you. Therefore, wait until God brings the one he has for you to you.
Blessings, Pastor David! I'm like you...I am happy and single! I love diligently serving God at my church and in the community! I don't have anyone matchmaking because I'm so happy with who I am people don't feel the need to "fix me up!" HAAA! I just believe that God is still working on me and my husband to be. When we are finished works in progress we will meet and marry. I believe that we will not have a long courtship and things will happen in divine timing. I've seen pastors who are unmarried who pastor a church and 95% of the membership are women hoping to be the new first lady of the church. smh HAAA! The women of the church really don't understand it take a certain woman of God with the anointing to be a pastor's wife and a first lady of a church especially a "black church!" LOL! I believe when you are ready God will present your wife to you for you are tending God's lambs and sheep faithfully. Just as Adam was doing his "job" taking care of the Garden of Eden and God felt that it was not good for Adam to be alone...God will do the same thing for you and present your "EVE" when it is time. Actually there are many times in the bible when God presented wives to mighty men of God who were obedient to God's will for their lives and God presented the man with a wife....Issac, Moses, Jacob and Boaz. In conclusion Pastor David just enjoy being single, being diligent to God's will for you life and when you least expect it God will present to you your wife and if you think your life is happy now....wait until you are matched by God your "EVE" you will know exactly what bliss is which is supreme or extreme happiness! Shalom~Reine Diva
i hear you BUT is there someone who has caught your eye? does the spirit of "desiring a wife" rest on you, unbeknown to you, but seen by other saints? have you found yourself wondering what she will be like? if you were so "happy" then why even bother to post the question here--what is your thought pattern--how often is it on your mind? Please do not misunderstan Pastor, i respect your ministry, but sometimes we want not to be concerned with such cares but we are and rightfully so. why wouldn't they want to see you with someone who is just as beautiful inside-out as you! i'm single, happy, and look forward to God's perfect husband for me, AND think of, pray for, encourage, affirm, him though i have no clue who he is. to God be the glory for the union... until then, i continue to prepare myself to be his wife. continue to prepare to be "her" husband. love you.
