(Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that comes unto God by him…. (Hebrews 7:25).
The Lord Jesus is totally committed to you irrespective of what you may have done. This truth may however be difficult for some people to accept because they feel guilty over certain things in their lives. Peter felt this way after Jesus died and his guilt almost consumed him.

Before the master died, He told peter he would deny Him three times. “No even if I have to die with you! I will never deny you” Peter responded (Mark 14:31 TLB)
When the time came, Peter denied Jesus three times just as He said. When he remembered those words of Jesus, he felt terrible. He almost couldn’t forgive himself for what he had done.

However, when Jesus arose from the dead, an angel said to the women who where at the tomb, “go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him, as he said unto you” (Mark 16:7). The Lord sent this specific message to Peter because He knew he was weighed down with guilt. You can imagine Peter’s joy when he got the message. He realized that God had given him another chance. By contrast, Judas who betrayed Jesus was completely consumed by his guilt and committed suicide as he could not forgive himself (Mark 27:5).

I encourage you today not to give up on yourself, for Jesus will never give up on you. He specializes in turning failures into success and unstable men into rock-steady disciples. He man Simon, an unstable reed, Peter the rock and chief apostle, and made Saul, a persecutor of the Word, a love-consumed Apostle Paul. He knows what to do with your life, so trust Him to make something beautiful out of it.

Say This Prayer

Dear father, I thank you for the great love you have for me. I am grateful for your faith in me. Because you believe in me, I believe in myself and commit myself in serving you with wholehearted devotion all my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
