HELP US, O GOD....

[HOPE - Psalm 43:5]

Psalm 69:5 -- O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.

Help us, O God;

We are captives to our own foolishness.

We are self-deceived and content with our delusions.

We believe that the greatest threats to our wellbeing come from outside.

But the truth is that the greatest threat we face each day comes from our own free will.

You tell us the way to live,
but we do not do it.

You show us the way to go
but we do not follow.

You reveal to us the truth of our circumstance
but we do not grasp it.

Have mercy on us.

Renew our mind and establish our will to serve and obey You.

For we ask it in Jesus' name.
