For those of you who don't know, I will be 32 this coming May, and that proverbial light (you know the one that comes on at 30) keeps getting brighter and brighter. It was at about 60 watts when I turned 29, moved to 75 when i hit 30, and is now at 100 watts and getting brighter...lol

The reason I make reference to this is because I see somethings in my life now that I hadn't noticed before. I started preaching when I was 19, by the time I was 22 I was totally burnt out, and ready to kick the church to the curb. I started preaching again when I was 26 (this is the short version...lol) and have been preaching ever since. I've had my share of ups and downs, and even fell a few times...but then I realized something...

Each time I fall, and repented, I, according to scripture crucified the Son of God afresh. Everytime I sinned, and then went back and asked God to forgive me, and wash me, and repented of that thing, Jesus gets a flash back of Calvary. He relives the pain, and the torment, the torture and the hurt, all over again. And that same scripture (Hebrews: 6:6) says that I put him to an open shame.

I don't know about you, but I love God...in fact I'm in love with him. And when you love someone, no, when you are in love with someone, you don't want to do anything that will hurt that person. So why do we constantly do things that hurt God? I continued to read my Bible and I noticed a scripture that says that if I sin willfully after having obtained knowledge, there remains no sacrifice for my sin.

In other words, I have no excuse for what I did. So why keep doing it? Why keep taking advantage of the Grace and Mercy of God?

People of God, it's not hard to lived saved! (ok I know you are ready to argue with me on that, but let me prove myself in the Word.) The Bible says that the way of TRANSGRESSORS is hard. And I found out that anything I want to do is not hard because I want to do it.

So my question is, how much do you love him? Do you love him enough to stop hurting him? Do you love him enough to stop sinning, so that Jesus won't continue to have flashbacks of Calvary everytime he has to forgive you? Didn't Jesus say, "If you LOVE me, keep my commandments..?" How much do you love him?

Will you sell him like Judas did for 30 pieces of silver? How much is he worth to you? Are you going to sell him for that late night booty call? A cheap thrill? A hit on the pipe? A puff of that joint? What is Jesus worth to you? Again I ask...HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE HIM?

A Prophetic Voice...

i appreciate this topic as people of god we say we love god but do we really. I know personally god has saved me from so many dangers and i love him for allowing me to see a new morning he is the lover of my soul he holds my hand when i am sad he makes me laugh he takes an interest in what i wear and all my friends he cares about what the doctor say he cares about my life. I look to him for everything he is the only one i need he talks to me leads me in the right direction and when i am lonely at times he uses his word to tell me how much he loves me. So yes I am in love with him i can't do with out him and when i mess up i cry so bad because i don't want to do anything to displease him but in his grace and mercy he tells me it's OK and he keeps on loving me. Everyday i live and breathe his word over my life i am no thing with out him he walks with me i take him every where i go so when people say to me you look so happy i say i am because i have the best man in the world who is good to me his name is jesus and they simile some people don't understand when you talk about being in love with god but if they could experience him in they way he wants to be real to you man its great. Thank you my brother for this topic one that is dear to my heart again i say YES I LOVE HIM AND I ALWAYS WILL.
Amen...I praise God for your response.
