For those of you who don't know, I will be 32 this coming May, and that proverbial light (you know the one that comes on at 30) keeps getting brighter and brighter. It was at about 60 watts when I turned 29, moved to 75 when i hit 30, and is now at 100 watts and getting brighter...lol
The reason I make reference to this is because I see somethings in my life now that I hadn't noticed before. I started preaching when I was 19, by the time I was 22 I was totally burnt out, and ready to kick the church to the curb. I started preaching again when I was 26 (this is the short version...lol) and have been preaching ever since. I've had my share of ups and downs, and even fell a few times...but then I realized something...
Each time I fall, and repented, I, according to scripture crucified the Son of God afresh. Everytime I sinned, and then went back and asked God to forgive me, and wash me, and repented of that thing, Jesus gets a flash back of Calvary. He relives the pain, and the torment, the torture and the hurt, all over again. And that same scripture (Hebrews: 6:6) says that I put him to an open shame.
I don't know about you, but I love God...in fact I'm in love with him. And when you love someone, no, when you are in love with someone, you don't want to do anything that will hurt that person. So why do we constantly do things that hurt God? I continued to read my Bible and I noticed a scripture that says that if I sin willfully after having obtained knowledge, there remains no sacrifice for my sin.
In other words, I have no excuse for what I did. So why keep doing it? Why keep taking advantage of the Grace and Mercy of God?
People of God, it's not hard to lived saved! (ok I know you are ready to argue with me on that, but let me prove myself in the Word.) The Bible says that the way of TRANSGRESSORS is hard. And I found out that anything I want to do is not hard because I want to do it.
So my question is, how much do you love him? Do you love him enough to stop hurting him? Do you love him enough to stop sinning, so that Jesus won't continue to have flashbacks of Calvary everytime he has to forgive you? Didn't Jesus say, "If you LOVE me, keep my commandments..?" How much do you love him?
Will you sell him like Judas did for 30 pieces of silver? How much is he worth to you? Are you going to sell him for that late night booty call? A cheap thrill? A hit on the pipe? A puff of that joint? What is Jesus worth to you? Again I ask...HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE HIM?
A Prophetic Voice...
