How to respond to young adults concerning current rappers.

Hello all. God gave me awesome insight into how to address an important question addressed by some of the young adults in the ministry. One person asked how we should view a rapper who might curse for 14 songs and then the last song is devoted to God. At that time, I asked the Lord about how to respond and He took me to Romans 12:1-2(specifically vs. 2) which warns us not to be conformed to the world but to be transformed. I also let them know that we cannot stand in a place of judgement because only God knows there hearts, but we do not have to support the music. I would like to know from others what additional wisdom you would provide on the situation.

Thank you Rev. Luckett for those comments. We discussed some of the same things. Then that led right into the corrupt communication and one guy saying who said the words we use are bad. It was a night, but God really handled the situation. We also talked about not trying to be on both sides of the fence. God requires us to make a choice about who we will serve--because we cannot serve two masters. One will win out--and in the rap industry, money overrules loyalty to God. Some of these rappers were raised in the church, but they made other choices. It seems like holiness is the last thing on people's minds now. I am still young myself--(know who sugar hill is but doubt I was born..lol) but the message has to get across. Great wisdom.
Well what does it say, when now the so-called Gospel music relates too alot of IDOLISM, you hear the songs, take the re-mix to jesus can work it out, now the child takes care of me, after she got a degree, and he gave me some bling-bling. before venturing out clean that that is within.
