BPN Friends,

Much could and will be said about Whitney Houston's comeback single titled, "I Didn't Know My Own Strength". What are your thoughts of a person who had such a great public fall but comes back saying these words:

I DIDN'T KNOW MY OWN STRENGTH

Lost touch with my soul
I had no where to turn
I had no where to go
Lost sight of my dream,
Thought it would be the end of me
I thought I’d never make it through
I had no hope to hold on to,
I thought I would break

I didn’t know my own strength
And I crashed down, and I tumbled
But I did not crumble
I got through all the pain
I didn’t know my own strength
Survived my darkest hour
My faith kept me alive
I picked myself back up
Hold my head up high
I was not built to break
I didn’t know my own strength

Found hope in my heart,
I found the light to life
My way out of the dark
Found all that I need
Here inside of me
I thought I’d never find my way
I thought I’d never lift that weight
I thought I would break

I didn’t know my own strength
And I crashed down, and I tumbled
But I did not crumble
I got through all the pain
I didn’t know my own strength
Survived my darkest hour
My faith kept me alive
I picked myself back up
Hold my head up high
I was not built to break
I didn’t know my own strength

There were so many times I
Wondered how I’d get through the night I
Thought took all I could take

I didn’t know my own strength
And I crashed down, and I tumbled
But I did not crumble
I got through all the pain
I didn’t know my own strength
Survived my darkest hour
My faith kept me alive
I picked myself back up
Hold my head up high
I was not built to break
I didn’t know my own strength

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS ON ANYONE WHO FALLS AND GETS BACK UP IN THE LORD...

1 Samuel 30:6
And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

For those of you who have NEVER fallen... this may make no sense to you. But the rest of us regular folk, who at some point in our lives have made one, two or even several great mistakes even though everyone around us knew we were ministry leaders or Believers who were professing Christ as our Lord, well, we didn't know our own strength.

1 Peter 5:10
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Sometimes the strength we need is strength to GET ... BACK.. UP.

My prayer for Whitney Houston is that after all that she has been through from her own choices, she remembers her choice that Jesus is her Savior, her strong tower or stronghold. That she remembers that the strength that she needs is found in the Jesus that abides within as He said he would. For greater is Christ who abides in her than any temptation in the world. Father, God, may YOU get the glory for Whitney's strength now and forever more. Let her platform be used By You For You from now on. May she be a light for other entertainers and even the fans who have fallen to various addidictions of sex, food, drugs, selfishness, loving money, pride and even the addiction to self destruction, self-loathing, eating disorders, too much plastic surgery etc. Lord, may Whitney's rise from her past be a guiding light to YOU heavenly Father. Order her steps in your Word Lord. Surround her with those who will speak your word to her to increase her faith Father. She is such a public figure Lord God and what a witness of Christ's power to restore the years that were lost to the lifestyle she had Lord God. May her children's children look back on their grandmother with pride and not shame and may they give praise to Your name for what You did for their grandmother.

Let it not end with her but let it become viral faith in the entertainment world Lord God. Let Whitney's comeback on the heels of Michael's death help those in the entertainment business understand that we ALL will die. Lord, help them understand that they must choose to die to themselves before they too find themselves no longer a part of this life.

And help us ministry leaders in Your Body.. the Bride of your Son, help us not bicker and be at odds with one another. Why, because we don't know our own strength when we are ONE. Make us ONE Lord God... make us ONE.

In Jesus' Name.

Amen.

That was wonderful to see her working again, I've never been much into her music, but I never like to see anyone fall. Glad she got up. And I like this song, I can sing it in the prisons

I agree with your views on the body
