I understand were you are coming from but what about the ten commandments how could some of them stand and not all of them. because if we should not steal why shouldn't we keep the sabbath
if we don't steal isn't that part of the law when we say law there is always going to be law but we have to remember that jesus himself kept the ten commandments so if we are going to follow Jesus we have look at what Jesus was teaching and the things that he did he only changed the ceremonial part of the law he didnot take away the law itself beause he was not able to do that if he did it would have gone against up the father told him his job was he came to be an forrunner
IF you have the love of God and his most important commandments in your heart the law comes natural for you to follow. To follow the law will not lead you to hell, nor salvation. But the reason you uphold the law makes the difference. Remember Jesus said himself that not one jot nor tittle (somthing like that) would not be changed until all these things come to be. All of these things still have not come to be.

Jesus was constantly pointing out how false these pharisies were by pushing their laws when even they themselves were lovers of evil. It was not the following of the law that gained salvation but the faith and love which guided and continues to guide his people. Works are important.

I know my fellow preachers might dissagree. But then again its not me that says this...its the bible. Faith without works is DEAD. YOu see you have to have the faith first and the works follow. If you just do the works because you know you are suppose to but you are not doing them from faith but fear or any other reason then you might as well save your time and just not do them. YOu must have faith first.
Friday from sundown to Saturday at sundown is indeed the Sabath. People can take the bible out of context however right from Jesus own mouth came the words that when the end comes you better not be on a roof top, in labor or on the Sabbath. Now why would he be refferencing a Sabath if it was nailed to the cross.

THe rules were never the way to salvation. The jews and their leaders beleived by following the rules would be their pathway to heavan. The rules and laws are important but not for salvation. Jesus came to hammer that point to us. When asked what were the most important commandments he said to Love the lord with all of your heart and soul, and the second like the first to love your neighbor. Now these were old testament commands. The laws, commandments, and sabaths were changed by man for one simple reason. Look up for yourself when the sabath was changed from Saturday to Sunday.

Going to church on sunday is fine. We can worship God anyday of the week. BUt he commanded for us to keep the Sabath holy FOREVER. NOw if we say God is never changing and cant lie then the sabath would still be as it was. The sabath was created for Rest. It was forever blessed as a holy day of rest.

If you would like both Old testament and new testament scripture please let me know and I can give you both in context.

It is much easier to go along with MAN's tradition than Gods word. However, there is a price to pay. I know when I myself opened my eyes that the sabath was really friday sundown to Saturday sundown, I looked for all reasons not to find that to be true. But it is. Anyone going against this would not be disputing me but the bible. Its easy to take things out of context. That is why I said I will give you plenty in context. Feel free to give me the scripture that you beleive supports your beleifs and we can let the truth shed itself.

Remember in the new testament we were warned about following mens traditions.........!!!
The sabbath day is saturday, old testament. In the new testament any day can be the sabbath day. we christains celebrate the sabbath on sunday. For it is the day that Christ Jesus rose from the grave. The old testament is law, and the new testament is grace. We are undesr the despenation of Grace.
Says who?
I am a Christian, and I celebrate the Sabbath on the 7th day.
Name one thing I do Pagan.
That's what I thought. I am not the Pagan.
I don't celebrate Easter, or Christmas, or Valentine's Day, or St. Patrick's Day, or Halloween, or Good Friday, or Ash Wednesday, or Holy week or any of that Pagan stuff.
the only problem with your comment is that if we try to say the sabbath is old testament then we will have to say that all of the commandment of God is old testament and then that would mean that we do not have to keep them. and about jesus rising on sunday morning if he went in the grave on friday evening how do we get three days and three nights from friday night to sunday morning because he said he would be in the grave for three days and three nights
Amen, Brother!!!
Have a Blessed Sabbath, and a good lesson in church!!!
