I say no! All sin seperates us from a loving God. It was out of His love for us that he died on a cross and crucified all sin paying it's debt. Homosexuals are not hated by God and they are not hated by me. The sin they are in is no different than the sin that I struggle with day to day. Be careful about hate, it will eat you from the inside out. Love people, all people the way Christ loves you and me.

Sin is always death. The sin of homosexuals comes with horrible consequences. So does the sin of drunkeness and idolitry and so the list goes on and on. Jesus is the solution and the salvation for all men and for all sin. Thius may not be popular, but standing for Christ and resting in His word has never been the most popular thing to do. Love your neigbor is not a choice. Hate the sin love the sinner is what I have been told.

The early apostles and the early church may have practiced keeping the commandments as we all should practice keeping them but as the scripture says all have sinned and falling short of the glory of God so that that tells us that even though one may practice keeping the commandments we will in time fail just keep living and no there is no worser sin in the eyes of God but in mans eyes yes especially if one is a child molester.........Thank God and Jesus for Grace.

I would think yes indeed - some sins are worse than others.
For one I think a sin that would kick you out of the assembly of believers is nothing to wink it at.
Take a look - this is so ominous:

"Although I'm not physically present with you, I am with you in spirit. I have already judged the man who did this as though I were present with you.
When you have gathered together, I am with you in spirit. Then, in the name of our Lord Jesus, and with his power, To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus."
- I Cor 5:3-6

Haha! I dont want my flesh to be delived over to Satan for anything

And this one is just right down hopeless:

"Truly I say to you, All sins shall be forgiven to the sons of men, and blasphemies with which soever they shall blaspheme:
But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation"
- Mark 3:28-29

Sin is just what it is, SIN. There is no greater sin because it's all sin, and all sin cost the same, But there are evils that are greater than others. Some crimes are greater, therefore the punishment for them are greater. The law punishes one harsher for murder than it would for one who is caught driving without seat belts. They are both crimes but one is greater and therefore require a harsher punishment. Remember where the Bible says some will be whipped with few stripes and some with many? They all committed crimes that were punishable by God's law. But it seems that the punishment fit the crime (so to speak). They were both crimes demanding a different degree of punishment, but they were punished, because all crime is sin. Sin is not punished because it is a crime, the crime or trespass is punished because it is a sin. But the worse sin of all is the UNFORGIVEN SIN. This is the only sin that will send you to hell. If it is forgiven, you have no worries. I think we confuse to often sin with works of the flesh, and we call each work sin and categorize these works as different types of sin. There is only one type of sin, but there are many works of the flesh, and wicked devices. There are many types of evil deeds and they all fall under the category of sin. Sin is not in the category, it is the topic. It is the works of sin that should be categorized. So if you ask me is there one evil or wicked work that is greater or worse than another, the answer is YES. But is one sin greater than another? the answer is NO. All sin is an abomination before God. And then wage of All sin is death. Forgiveness from God satisfy this death penalty through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Sin is sin. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. It is my belief that God loves all of us homosexual, lesbian, pedophile, liar, gossiper, thief, backbiter, the person that sows discord among the brethren. Not one of us is better than the other and the Word of God says that nothing can seperate us from the love of God. We seperate ourselves when we make the choice to sin or in other words not follow the teachings of the Holy Bible. Romans 13:8 we owe no man but to love him, for this is the fulfilling of the law. Vs. 10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is fulfilling of the law. Love covers the multitude of sins. Jesus left one commandment that we must love one another. The fruit of the Spirit begins with love. When we love as Christ love we are able to see beyond the sin and embrace the sinner. This enables us as believers to share this gospel with the homosexual and anyone else. The problem with the body of Christ today is that we esteem one sin above another, we do not show true love that exemplifies Christ and we judge much too often. We must come to a place where we love expressively so that Christ is emulated in and through us. But for God's grace and mercy where would any of us be. We must be conformed to His image, transformed by the renewing of our minds through the Word of God and the only way to do that is to humble ourselves under His mighty hand. Our lives must emulate Christ and Love is the most important commandment for if we love, truly love, we would think twice about committing any other act. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul, love your neighbor as yourself and this includes the homosexual !

Jesus said in Matt. "Be ye perfect for I am perfect, we certainly can't be perfect within ourselves, but if you have been washed in the blood of Jesus and living according to his word you are keeping all his commandments. You can do ALL things through Christ that strenghtened you.

In the biblical Hebrew, the generic word for sin is het. It means to err, to miss the mark. It does not mean to do evil. Islam teaches that sin is an act and not a state of being. It depends, what is your moral code of conduct? Divine Law is any law that in the opinion of believers, comes directly from the will of God. Like natural law. The law of entropy is only true until proven wrong. My point, in the laws of physics, like the laws of nature or God laws, if you will, there is no wrong. Only thing wrong with the laws of physics is that we as humans are wrong, so the laws can be broken without sin because humans was wrong from start. Was it a sin because it was wrong from Gods law.

Was slavery a sin no matter if it was in Egypt or in America? there was no laws broken in the United States because slavery was a legal institution in the U.S, so because there was no laws broken does it make it still a sin? Would you compare slavery to any other law broken in the United States or around the world that's considered a sin?

Yours truly,
Anthony Smith

A person is smart, and can make good decision, but when many people come with their beliefs instead of the truth, it makes for everyone to fall into the ditch...

Perhaps we should revisit scripture and gain a proper biblical definition of the word 'sin'?

Romans chapters 1 through 3 provides a clear definition of sin. The term sin has nothing to do with behavior. It means 'to miss the mark', to fall short of God's glory. Adam (the carnal man) is dominated by the law of sin and death. Therefore, all he does is a product of that nature. Are you catching the revelation? In other words, whether a person is fornicating, telling lies, or killing innocent people - all of it is a product of the Adamic nature. There is no difference!

Thanks be to Christ, all sin was taken to Calvary in His body and destroyed. Therefore, the issue is not what 'physical act' is the nastiest or ugliest. The issue is, will a person live dominated by the Adamic nature - or by the divine nature of Christ who dwells within.

It seems nice and practical to say there is no difference, but I disagree. I do believe that there are differences in degrees of sin, and here is why:

2 Peter 2:21 "For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them."

Luke 12:42-48 "And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath. But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; the lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more."

These statements from our very own LORD and Savior and Apostle Peter should have some consideration. Can anyone comment on these?

There is a sin that is not unto death, but generally speaking some sins carry hefty wages.
