There is not a man...or a woman who can convince another person about Jesus. For thousands of years we have spoken very convincing words but they are not our words, but the Word of God. I am one who has been "in church" all my life...singing, listening to the preacher...but it wasn't until I listened...and heard the "Voice" of Spirit of God that I became a true believer in God. We can plant the "seed", but the Holy Spirit waters and nourishes that seed. Every man is born with the potential to believe...AND THE CHOICE to either believe...or not. I give the praise and glory to God Almighty for His Mercy and Grace! For when I stopped...and showed Him of my interest in knowing Him...HE MADE HIMSELF KNOWN to me.
