If we have not love, we have not anything.
If what we do is not out of love,
then what we do has little significance.

Love is the greatest- I Corinthians 13:13.
And if I don't give you a bunch of scriptures on love,
we have read and heard enough teaching or preaching
on love, to know loving others and loving God is what
we have been commanded to do.

In order to love Godly or like God,
we first need God in our lives.
We need God ruling and reigning in our lives,
and we need Him to be a priority in our life.
God is love, love is God.
And we can't have the love of God or love like
God wants us to, apart from Him, or not having
Him in our lives.

Racism, bigotry, hatred, injustices and prejudices of every kind

will always be sin and evident in it's many forms as long as there are people.

As people of God, we must hold to the truth based on the word of God

and walk in love and according to the word of God.

The word of God clearly tells us that if we say that we love God and hate our brother,

that we are a liar. - I John 4:20.

Jesus goes on to say in John 13:35, that it is by love that all men will know

that we are His disciples, if we have love one for another.

Love is what love does.

We can say we love God and do a bunch of God works or ministry.

But the proof of our love and our heart is how we treat,

communicate and relate to one another,

regardless of who people are, and what their status or condition may be.

We are commanded to love God with all our heart,
mind soul and strength. -Deuteronomy 6:5
We are commanded to: Love our enemies. - Matthew 5:44
To love one another. - John 13:35
To love our neighbor as our selves. - Matthew 22:39
To let brotherly love continue. - Hebrews 13:1
I Corinthians chapter 13 gives us a clear desciption on love.

Beloved let us love God as He loves us.
Love is the flfilling of the law.
Love is the greatest thing that God gave us through His son Jesus Christ.
Love is the greatest thing that we can give back to God,
through loving one another as He loves us and in loving Him,
His way, His terms, unconditionally.

Here is the Bible's definition of Love from the Law and testimony.

The Law: Exodus 20:6
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

The Testimony: 1John5:1-3 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

This is the reason why I came to the Law and testimony:

Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

2Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

Since the Scripture is of no Private interpretation then this is true.

1John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Here is the Bible's Definition of Sin:

1John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Here is man's definition of sin: Sin:(n.) The transgression of divine law http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/sin

Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

Here is Jesus talking:

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Looks like the Love of God the Father, and Jesus is the keeping of the commandments, so this thread is right when it says love is the main thing.
Sister Melody, this is the word of truth as given unto the children of God. I thank the Lord for using you to reenforce this word with His beloved. The word of God says, "How can we love Him whom we have never seen if we do not love those whom we see daily?" (Paraphrased) If we love not our brothers and sisters while proclaiming to love God, we are attempting to make the word of God a lie. However, as we all know, Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but the WORD of God shall STAND FOREVER. Glory be to the Most High.
