MASTURBATION - WHY ARE WE AFRAID TO ADDRESS THIS TOPIC IN THE CHURCH?

Is this one of the "taboo" topics where you worship?

Do you or does your Pastor or Ministry leader dare talk about such things with the Body of Believers??

And if we don't teach the people about the various sub-topics under Sex/Sexual Relationships, then where will they get the information from? Will it be a godly source?

Why do a lot of leaders give the impression that sex education is for teenagers and young adults and singles and should not also include the milddle aged and senior citizens who are also dabbling or habitually paticipating in sexual immorality of ANY kind?

Is this a topic that we are embarrassed to even discuss here on BPN??

ALSO.....

Many Belivers refer to masturbation as "Onanism"

According to the text in Genesis 38, after God had killed Onan's older brother Er, Judah asked Onan to have sex with Tamar, Er's widow, so that the offspring could be declared Er's heir. Onan had sex with Tamar, but performed coitus interruptus each time, spilling his "seed" (semen) on the ground, so that there would not be any offspring which he could not claim as his own. The passage states that this displeased God, who killed him.

Why was God upset with Onan? Is it what we have attributed to Onan's name or could it have been something else?

What are your thoughts and/or comments?

MASTURBATION - WHY ARE WE AFRAID TO ADDRESS THIS TOPIC IN THE CHURCH?

It's not the place.
It's sad that we as followers of Christ and the holy scriptures think that NOTHING is off limits when it comes to God.

It is wrong. to discuss. while in service.
If one MUST discuss masturbating - do it with your spouse or between children and parents or sisters amongst sisters and brothers amongst the brethren.

But to bring the that topic into a mixed company of saints is HORRENDOUS and not of God.

We may be AMERICAN and nothing is off limits but that is secondary. First we are Christians and God has rules.
The holy apostle Paul said: All things lawful are not expedient.

Thats wisdom - you may be FREE to do all kinds of things but is it necessary? NO

Saints - there is no shame to our game anymore.
How could a man allow his wife to discuss MASTURBATION amongst some other dudes - and in the house of GOD?!?!
More importantly - how could a woman be so disrespectful of herself that she would discuss it with some guys that are not her spouse or her doctor?

Take that crap in private to a mother in the church - if it NEEDS to be explored!

So if it is discussed - do we TEACH how it should be done?

Lord have mercy - and we want to know why there is NO power in the church.......there is no holy ghost in such things.

The Holy Ghost would not move the saints to discuss such base things (no matter how BEAUTIFUL and natural it may be and feel) amongst mixed group of holy people.

Its not right and any preacher that would allow it is lead of the Devil.
Why do we continue to debate over issues that the Bible has CLEARLY addressed?!

The ONLY sex that God has ordained is sex between MAN AND WIFE- so this means masturbation is NOT ordained of God because that is sex with self and since you CANNOT marry yourself then this lets us know that it is NOT ordained of God.

Why make things harder (no pun intended) than they truly are?

If the Bible has spoke on it then speak on it- if not then use what God has given you, connect the dots and move on.

No matter how much you debate; what "theologians' you fool into trying to give you a different answer the BIBLE is and will ALWAYS have the final say.

That cannot be used as a scripture against masturbation.

That was NOT the reason Onan was killed.

Let's stop taking one scripture and building doctrines around it.

It doesn't work that way.

That's how untruths turn into deceptions then outright lies.

I believe we should go with the word of God KING JAMES VERSION Romans 6vs 19 *I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh:FOR AS Ye HAVE YIELDED your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
