How dare you do what was/is being done to the brothers and sisters here in America in the 1800's and thereafter!  They took people of color lands and left with nothing but the shirts on their backs and you want to do it in the motherland!  You have bumped your head!

And don't send Monsanto to Africa either with their poisonous food!

Enough is Enough!

When was he a Muslim?

Ok, indite him for what he did or does wrong - but dont add.

When did he say that he believed that Allah was god?

Please dont add to the sin he is already guilty of.

And guess what - if he was a Muslim - you would NOT have to worry about him approving homosexuality.

Its so called Christians that need to be ashamed of themselves.

But there shall be a great falling away first...

Let them continue in their filth of saying that God approves and he does not.

He that is filthy - let him stay filthy still.

You are "spot-on" about one thing.

It would have been better if he had been our first Muslim president, maybe he would have had a stronger conviction to their core faith and beliefs then lying to a nation about upholding the Christian doctrine of one man-one woman.   That's what turned americans against GWB and those bald-faced lies about WMD's in Iraq, and Clinton on Lewinsky.  No one wants lies coming out of a sitting president.

What about so called christians and what should they be ashamed of in this issue?

To be farnk with you Most Americans are as hypocrital as the men they choose.

And thats ok - just dont say you are living my God's standards.

Then again - what do you expect when the Christians are sitting under preachers and elders that refuse refuse refuse to preach the word of God - not just about homosexuality - but

1) Fornication - sleeping with ppl outside of marriage and claiming that its OK.  People are going to hell for that.

2) Dropping bombs and preaching that God says kill some people and dont turn the other cheeks - which he NEVER did.  He knew the worldly governments would have to - but NOT a child of God living the life a Christ.

3) Allowing women to rule and lead MEN in the Church - when the bible CLEARLY states that  "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence." —1st Timothy 2:11-12

And they wonder how the spirit of weak effiminate men have taken over so much of the church.  These elders have move from their position.  Nobody made them.  They abdicated.

Well, God has a fan in his hand and he will purge his floor of all of the chafe.  He will judge and it will begin at the DOORS of the Church.

Yeah - lets not just talk about politics and sin - lets talk about all of it.

It seems we all have been talking extensively about it for several weeks.  Many things in scripture won't be made 'perfect' until or at the reign of Christ on earth; when ALL rebellion, deception or false equivalency is finally settled.  We have been seeing this 'cleansing' with Catholics, Evangelicals, Black church leaders' lewdness and greed being exposed, etc.

1 Peter 4:17

17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Godly men. kind, loving, family men have been stripped of their authority because many other men were abusive and did not love their wives as Christ loves the Church.  Secularism seized on this brutality to nurture the women's movement. Hence we get a travesty in poor communities labeled WOMEN'S liberation; but it really the ghost of abortion at any cost/for any reason.

Truthfully though, God has slain a few people himself or sent someone to do it with bombs of fire, brimstone, salt, plagues, etc.  He does get angry as some want to omit.

But don't discount God's love for women in leadership, Deborah-a judge, military leader and prophet, Jael-slayer of Sisera and the most obvious, our lord's own mother,  blessed and highly favored.

Newview:

Im not controlling the 'reply' buttons to only have a "one way" forum.  Maybe i need to review the 'how to' manual and brush up on my blog skills. There's no underhanded intent or guile here on my part!     The term SUPPRESSIVE WAS COMMENTED BY AND WRITTEN BY THE COMMENTATOR, . .  NOT ME!!!

Yes Barack is wrong, the Elders are wrong and men are wrong, women, TOO.    Pres. "O" will have to stand before God and account for exalting his fairness/righteousness doctrine above God's edits, Elders will for leaving SPIRITUAL leadership up to women; as well as those same posts in the sanctuary, the home and the community.   Women will for having the gall to pick up the banner at home and the church when the men decided they'd rather sleep in, leave their children fatherless, watch ESPN and 'chase tail'.  So we are AGREED.

So, after us both having said/clarified things to this extent, its time for one of us to be a grown up and recognize this dialog is crossing the border into contentious 'backbiting.'

As I said before, there's no excuse for saints to be combative over what's already spelled out in scripture.  This is beginning to reveal hints of personality conflicts, or even egos perhaps, etc, ,(1 JOHN 4:1)

I couldn't find your reply button, so I hope you stumble upon this as my last comment to you.   Sorry, I don't care to indulge this, and won't.   Lest  we both end up having to answer to God for it.  Grace and peace to you.

okay guys a string of conversation can only run for a period and then it runs out none od us control it if you respond to someone and then someone else respond to the same converstation eventually you exhauste it. This happens on all other site too, I guess it just stop us from going over and over the same point. So why not go bact to the may discussion and start another dialogue

Bro Phil,

I say:

True but the bible tells Christians to be Holy as he is holy.  So let the world do what it does until the end and God cleanses and makes straight everything but in the mean time - the in between time - the saints of God are to shoot for living holy.  And those of authority in the Church will have the HARSHER judgement. Why?  Because they lead the flock.

You said:

I say:

Who stripped these loving family men's authority in the Church?  The elders? You mean the ones that will indeed be judged harshly because they lied about the rules that God set forth and said something totally opposite than what God wrote and instructed.  These elders that thought it would not matter and it was more important to follow the worldly society around them than paying attention that this is how the DEVIL would slip in and taking the church from men being manly leaders to women being their leaders to men carrying out all kinds of abominations in their bodies.  And the Church cant blame the world for what it allows in the body of Christ.  The church elders cant blame SECULARISM.

You said:

I say:

He has slain alot.  He is God.  But He has not called the Body of Christ to kill.  The same people we would kill would probably be the ones that need the gospel most.  And would we take the time to share the gospel with them before shooting or stabbing or bombing them to death?  I think not.

You said:

I say:

Yes you are correct in saying God 's love goes from Deborah to Jael to Mary.  But Deborah and Jael were Old Testament before the Spirit indwelled the Body and set in order the hiarachy of the church.  And as far as Mary - what men did she lead?  The Apostles never gave her any leadership roles over men.  I dont see that there. Just think - here is the Lords mother and you would think that they would make her some kind of pastor or bishop or preacher position.  Its not there.  Why?  Because she was filled with the Holy Spirit and did not fight against the instructions laid down or just go and make stuff up.   Mary is on her way to heaven to be with the Lord forever.

You are on fire today, with your TEACHING and ADMONITION.

I am impressed with your thoughts on spurring all of us to greater holiness and how you segmented my response out for special reprimand.  Especially since just a few days ago you chided me about too much holiness. (LOL)

If I didn't know better, I'd almost swear I detected just a hint of rancor or maybe even some sarcasm in your tone (smile).  But I'm sure I'm wrong cause we're both on the same side here, . .God's side, aren't we?  The body should not be at war with itself, that's called suicide. We've got enough enemies and wars to fight with the gates of hell to snipe at one another.  So if I ever said something offensive to you regarding our lord, forgive me and put it under the blood.  If you're angry about a stance I've taken in/for Christ, then  I'm not sorry, and will pray for us both.

I read a good devotion today about a woman teacher/leader/saint in Acts and Romans.  Gonna copy/past so all will not have to hunt for it.  Its long, but good in revealing God's no respecter of persons.

34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of...

35,.But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousnes...

Hope you enjoy the commentary. SORRY IT MAKES THIS POST SO LONG.   Love you all, in Christ, bros. and sis.

1) Aquila and Priscilla were industrious. They were diligent and occupied in a good way. They were tentmakers (Acts 18:2-3) and they worked hard at their trade. We should note that Aquila was a Jew (Acts 18:2). Although Paul first met these two believers in Corinth, they were originally from Rome (Acts 18:2).

2) They were hospitable (Acts 18:3). They opened their home to the Apostle Paul who was also a tentmaker. They opened not only their home to Paul but also their hearts.

3) They were teachable. Aquila and Priscilla were probably converted under Paul’s ministry. We have no record that they were saved prior to their encounter with Paul in Acts 18. They not only received Paul into their home but they received Paul’s Christ into their hearts. With all eagerness and readiness of mind they received with joy the message that Paul preached. They were disciples of Paul. They absorbed the doctrine and the truth which the Apostle gave them.

4) They were Bible orientated (Acts 18:24-26). Not only were they teachable, but they were able to teach others also. Apollos was a great preacher who was mighty in the O.T. Scriptures, but he was ignorant of the essential facts of the gospel (and weak on dispensational truth). With a godly concern for this man, Aquila and Priscilla took Apollos aside and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly. It is possible that Priscilla may have taken the lead in this session with Apollos because in some Greek manuscripts her name is mentioned first in Acts 18:26. Some wives are better able to explain Bible doctrine than their husbands, and in the right setting it is permissible for the woman to take the lead (though certainly not in a local church teaching situation). She knew God’s Word and she was able to deal with these kinds of doctrinal matters. This husband and wife team was well grounded in God’s truth and able to minister that truth to others.

5) They were local church orientated (1 Cor. 16:19 and Rom. 16:5). Both of these passages speak of the church that was in their house (both in Rome and in Ephesus). Their home was a place for believers to assemble—a place for worship, singing, preaching, fellowship, prayer and the breaking of bread.

6) They were a husband and wife team. Priscilla’s name is mentioned six times in the N.T. and in each place her husband’s name is found as well. She is always mentioned with him. This implies harmony in their relationship and unity of purpose. She worked with her husband, not against him. They functioned as a team in the service of the King.

7) They were rightly orientated to God’s gifted man (Rom. 16:3). In this verse they are described as Paul’s "helpers" (literally "fellow workers"). As Priscilla and Aquila came to Paul’s mind, he was able to say, "These dear believers are my helpers, my fellow workers." Can your pastor say the same thing about you? What kind of relationship do you have with God’s gifted man (compare Eph. 4:11)? Are you a help or a hindrance to your pastor? Are you working with him or against him? Does he see you as a plus or a minus? Paul certainly considered this husband and wife team to be a great PLUS to his ministry and service for Christ.

8) They were courageous (Rom. 16:4). Apparently Paul owed his life to this brave husband-wife team. We are not told any of the details, but they somehow risked and hazarded their lives for Paul’s sake. They laid down their own necks in order to save Paul’s life, and as a result Paul and all the churches of the Gentiles owed them a debt of thanks. Paul was God’s special apostle to the Gentiles, and if Priscilla and Aquila had not intervened, Paul might have died and his ministry to the Gentiles might have come to an abrupt end. Priscilla and Aquila manifested a genuine love for Paul in the spirit of 1 John 3:16. Whatever incident Paul was referring to, it is possible that Priscilla played the more significant role in light of the fact that her name is mentioned first in Romans 16:3. This brings us to our next point.

9) Priscilla was submissive but she was not suppressed. In the six New Testament references where this husband/wife team is mentioned, Priscilla’s name comes first in three of these places (some would say this is true in four out of these six places because her name comes first in Acts 18:26 in some Greek manuscripts). Since it was customary to list the husband’s name first, why did Priscilla’s name come first in these passages? We are not given the reason why and we can only surmise. Was it because she was the more energetic of the two? Did she have the stronger character? Did she have superior zeal? Did she have superior ability in certain areas? Did she play a more significant role in risking her own neck for Paul’s sake? Without trying to speak where the Scriptures are silent, the following might be said:

She was not suppressed. She seemed to have special gifts or abilities or a unique devotion to Christ which enabled her in some areas to surpass her husband in such a way as to merit special recognition from Paul.

She was submissive. In the six places where she is mentioned in the New Testament (by Luke and Paul), it is never implied that she was out of line in any way. She is never rebuked but only commended. She is always mentioned in connection with her husband. She was a submissive wife.

Oh Brother Phil, for some reason you dont have 'REPLY' shown on either of your last 2 posts. Its hard looking for a place to respond to.  Hahaha!

But I just read about the wonderful things you wrote about Priscilla  and Amen.

Bless her holy soul. I have fellowshipped with many women that are helpers and witnesses and able minded AND submissive.  There is no problem with the word submissive.  At least not till lately.  I actually hear Christian women speaking about the word submissive as if its an abomination.  But surely they must know - it is not an abomination to God.  The Holy Ghost has instructed women to be submissive.

But why did you bring up the word SUPPRESSIVE?

For a women to stay in the place to which God has called her - surely she is most free - not suppressed.  Why?  Because God will empower her.  Satan was laying back in the 'cut' and saw this one coming.

If you notice a train traveling from one place to another - which will get there safer and faster?  One thats considederd free on NO track or the one that stays on the track that it was designed for?

AndI am not sure women know that.  I dont think Eve knew she was delving into something that she ought not either.  Thats why God went after Adam - not Eve even though she had the conversation with the devil and she is the one who ate the forbidden thing first.  She then approached her head and he followed her lead.  Yet God went to Adam about the situation.

But - the protectors of the flock God's bride know that and they see what has been wrought in the Body.  But they wont preach it.  Why?  Because the women are the tithe payers and the bank rollers.  And to keep them in the pews - they give them titles and positions that God has not called them to be in.

So now where are we - we have a Church that says God is not against homosexuaity or women leading men.

I am not against you.  But we think that what President Obama has said about men marrying men is a detriment to the Church.

It is the elders not taking a stand about other issues BEFORE this - is the detriment to the Church.

God bless you and the Body of Christ.
