A conversation about "Our Children thats Controlled By DCYF"
I just finish trying help friend who had teenage male (12-13) He was nice kid.
I talk to him about 3 times, We had his caretaker getting him interested in sports with adult supervision. As I talked to the caretaker is seem the kids had the family problems with his parent (mother). The Caretaker worked from 9-5. He went to a special school with Handicapped & etc and he resented it.
He felt like he didn't belong, was teased & rejected everybody. He was constantly told if he didn't do this or that he would be returned. He then turned everyone who cared for him off. (Like a remote control). DCYF, the caretaker and Mother never addressed his problems. Time & His opportunities ran out. Now they move him again. He will never get out the system until its to late. Working people, DCYF, & etc are missing the opportunity because they are addressing the problems. They following old ideas of fixing nothing for personal gain.
How can we help? Can we Penitrate the DCYF System? What your opinion? Do you know any situation? Peace!
