My passion for ministry involves creating new families through the ministry of pre-marital counseling and holy matrimony.  As a clinical chaplain and ordained minister I truly enjoy the ministry of pastoral counseling during our pre-marital counsultations.

I am hopeful that more and more African American couples will "jump the broom" as they create new and creative family unity.  I have had the pleasure of counseling many couples and family units during my years in ministry.  Every new family is a new adventure and opportunity for spiritual and personal growth.

As a people, we now have the world's most recognized couple and family as role models for young families in the Obama's.  It is my fervant prayer that their presence in the world will inspire other young and "older" couples and families to move towards the sacrament of marriage.

While we have seen so many devasting celebrity couples go through recent marital upheavals, I remain hopeful that they will find solace and healing through counseling and family support.

In face of so many current challenges in our society, i.e., economic upheaval, infidelity and marital discord, what are your thoughts, hopes and challenges in ministry as you encounter a hurting world?
