The title of this section of the blog is sermon builder weekly. I have not seen a sermon yet?? Unless I read wrong I thought the idea was to add a thought and build a sermon.
Now on the thought you posted that would be a great thing. Someone posts a scripture and intro sentence or two and maybe gets in rolling and everybody adds on.
I thought that was a grand idea, but then I do not think preaching is a private thing. For those who only think the Holy Spirit speaks solely to them this would be a great exercise to, if they participated, to expand their spirits.
We are different, experience and experiences, education, cultural backgrounds and so on are the things that shape us.
In Jesus we become parts of the body those differences make no difference. Be ye an arm or a leg Jesus joins us as one.
When we think and feel and follow the Holy Ghost in us we do become new creatures with a new purpose.
WWJD is more than a set of initials by a mantra to follow to continually guide us in the Way.
That is the Christ in us that makes the difference.
I study many different styles and plan to take a little from the things I like. My main study points these days are how to perfect the shout sermon(My dad has never really did it so Im not that good at it)
I concur, I just want the infallible word. Give it to me however the Holy Spirit reveals it. Too many imitators, if you want to be like anyone BE LIKE JESUS.
Yes, Rev. Childs, how I agree with you. It's sort of like what Scripture states, "God has made some apostles, pastors, evangelicals etc.' and each leader as well as we believers have our different styles in which we glorify our Heavenly Father.
Now, I'm a writer that seeks to glorify God through speaking the truth. Another is a singer, homemaker, business person. Each and all believers should glorify God not only as a leader, but simply as a humbled child of God.
The shepherds and shepherdesses feed us with the good news of Christ. Let us thank God for godly leadership belting out the truth anyway the Holy Spirit leads them.
