Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. Stand therefore, having your lions girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:10-18);

In the Christian life we battle against principalities and powers (the powerful evil forces of fallen angels headed by Satan who is a vicious fighter). To withstand their attacks, we must depend on God's strength and use every piece of His armor. Paul is not only giving this counsel to the Church the body of Christ, but to all individuals within the Church. The whole body needs to be armed. As you do battle against the rulers of the darkness of this world, fight in the strength of the Church, whose power comes from the Holy Spirit.

We are fighting a battle that will last our entire life. We must be armed, so that we are equipped to beat the devil. God has given us the power to defeat all enemies. We are to with urgency put on the armor of God. We must put on God's supernatural armor. It is the only way to defeat Satan and his hordes. God has made everything available to you that you may be able to defeat the enemy. Jesus Christ was manifest to destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8).

We wrestle (hand to hand combat) with principalities:
These who are not flesh and blood are demons who Satan has control. They are not mere fantasies, they are very real. We face a army whose goal is to defeat Christ's Church. When we believe in Christ and join His Church, these beings become our enemies, and they try every device to turn us away from Christ, and back to sin. Although we are assured of victory, we must engage in the struggle until Christ comes, because Satan is constantly battling against all who are on the Lord's side. We need supernatural power to defeat Satan, and God has provided that in His Holy Spirit within us, and His armor around us. If you feel discouraged remember Jesus' words to Peter. Upon this rock I will build My Church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18). People have got to realize we are not warring against flesh and blood but against spiritual beings (principalities), they are people whom the devil is using. The devil uses people to try to destroy the works of God on earth. When you begin to worship you are turning your eyes to Jesus. O how the devil hates this, because the Lord who inhabits the praises of His people, come in; the devil who knows he already has been defeated knows he got to get gone!

We have to step up our game and fast which which will loose the captives and allow people to go free. Because the anointing will break every yoke. You must believe the entire Bible(II Timothy 3:16, 17). You can not hold grudges and hatred in your heart for no one. You have God's power in you and you have to walk in confidence knowing that greater is He that is within you than he that is in the world (I John 4:4). In Isaiah we have the fear nots: Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be Strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; He will come and save you (Isaiah 35:4). Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness (Isaiah 41:10). All believers are God's chosen people, and all share the responsibility of representing Him to the world. God will one day bring His faithful people together. We need not fear, because (1) God's presence is with us (I am with thee), (2) God has established a relationship with us (I am thy God), and (3) God's assurance of strength, help, and victory over sin and death is certain.

We have to put up the shield of faith; Jesus promise that obeying Him would be easy, Hard work, however, can be rewarding if we value its results. Another way translated, His commands or not burdensome. The hard work and self-discipline of serving Christ is no burden to those who love Him. And if our load starts to feel heavy, we can always trust Christ to help us bear it (Matthews 11:28-30). If you put up the shield of faith the devil will leave you alone. I have never seen the righteous forsaken (Psalms 37:25). We must learn how to work the Word and watch the Word work for you. There are two types of Word here. (1) The Logos- the entire Word (Scripture). (2) The Rhema- the sword of the Spirit. But without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrew 11:6). Don't let the devil talk you out of your salvation, for you have the helmet of salvation which is the assurance of salvation.

How can one pray all the time? One way to pray constantly is to make quick, brief prayers your habitual response to every situation you meet throughout the day. Another way is to order your life around God's desires and teachings so that your very life becomes a prayer. You don't have to isolate yourself from other people and from daily work in order to pray constantly. You can make prayer your life and your life a prayer while living in a world that need God's powerful influence.
