There are some of us who are in love with 'church' but not the Christ of the church. There is no relationship; only following values and or/denominational doctrine. After all eternal life is a person-John 17:3, "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent". Your thoughts on this. Thanks.

True relationship with Yahshua lies strickly in obedience to him. Most Christians say they know him, but keep not his commandments. The commandments are found in Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Dueteronomy. In Hebrew thought, to believe in something is less of acknowledgement, and more of action. When you say,"I believe in Jesus", what you are really saying is that I believe, and I will obey what he commands. Greek thought is opposite of this, for in that thought, a mere belief will get you by. He who believes(do what he commands) in Yahshua will have eternal life.
I see many christians with religion rather than a relationship. Religion is when you do things in a repeatative cycle. Some people exercise religiously, some people drink coffee religiously, and it's sad to say some people go to church religiously. Some only go to church because they have been going all there life, not because they have a relationship with Christ. God comes against religiousosity all through out the Old Testament, in one particular place Isaiah 1, ( please read). One way to try and change the religious state of some people is to try to get them to be specific about where there going. Example: don't say your going to the library say your going to read, don't say your going to the gym, say your going to work out. Try to encourage people to no longer say their going to church, but encourage them to say their going to worship. We have to stop going because we are use to going but start to go with purpose.
