Revelation Exchange
God told Noah, Genesis 9:1, to "be fruitful, multiply and replenish the earth." Obviously, this was because God had just destroyed every living thing with the flood. Why, then, had God told Adam and Eve FIRST to "be fruitful, multiply AND REPLENISH the earth..." in Genesis 1:28? Why did the earth have to be "replenished" if they were the first man and woman created...or were they?
Later we find that after Cain slew Abel, and God cursed him and drove him out, Cain "knew his wife" (Genesis 4:17). Where did this wife come from if there were only 3 people at that point, Adam, Eve and Cain...or were there? Adam and Eve later had Seth (v. 25), who later bore a son himself (v. 26). Again, where did Seth's wife come from? Eve had 3 boys. Where did these women come from?
