Hello Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

How do we bring our homosexual clergy in line with the Word of God? My church has an openly gay priest. The problem is that if he doesn't recognize homosexuality as sin how can he seek repentance?

1 Corinthians 6:12-20

"Everything is permissible for me" - but not everything is beneficial. " Everything is permissible for me" - but I will not be mastered by anything. " Food for the stomach and the stomach for food"- but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. Do you not know your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, "The two will become one flesh." But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.

Flee from sexual Immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? you are not your own;: you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

This was from the New International Version of the Holy Bible.

Issuing the call to Christ to all people regardless of sexual identity is very important. However, the truth of God must not be withheld. It is just like the straight members of the church need to seek repentance for their shortcomings. Please let me have your views and scriptural references for this discussion.

This is a topic that get people up in arms along with other sins. Sin is sin and God knows ALL, He is the same today, yesterday and days to come. We as christians must continue to pray for one another as instructed and to keep charge over ourselves by seeking what thus saith the Lord and diligently seek His way for our lives my studying and communicating with him through prayer. With all that is going on in the churches now, God had a word in Ezekiel for the same kind of disobedience. It is going on today in the sanctuaries...unholy ministers, pastors, evangelist, prophets etc. They are defiling the pulpits due to their own fleshly desires. They are allowing any and everything to go on in the churches, but God had a word for them back in the day and it still applies today.

REMEMBER...we don't draw men unto God, God say He draw all men unto Him...but man has a will, because God also gave man that too. God will separate the chaff from the wheat..He is sifting His people daily, but the spirit of disobedience has always been present, but God's Love for His creation allows EVERYONE another day to Get It Right, and I praise God for that...we are admonished to pray for one another for this reason.

Ezekiel 44:

5And the LORD said unto me, Son of man, mark well, and behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that I say unto thee concerning all the ordinances of the house of the LORD, and all the laws thereof; and mark well the entering in of the house, with every going forth of the sanctuary.

6And thou shalt say to the rebellious, even to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O ye house of Israel, let it suffice you of all your abominations,

7In that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations.

8And ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things: but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves.

9Thus saith the Lord GOD; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.

10And the Levites that are gone away far from me, when Israel went astray, which went astray away from me after their idols; they shall even bear their iniquity.

11Yet they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having charge at the gates of the house, and ministering to the house: they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them.

12Because they ministered unto them before their idols, and caused the house of Israel to fall into iniquity; therefore have I lifted up mine hand against them, saith the Lord GOD, and they shall bear their iniquity.

And as for anyone who will stay under such leadership, I would just remind them that we are responsible for what leadership we are under, especially when we know the truth, we should flee...if one really knows that their leader is not lined up with the Word of God, then they must know he/she is following something else other than God and who would keep under such leadership. Leave and continue to pray that God will intervene and bring that person under the obedience of Christ. Never stand in a place were you know a accident can happen...that is my motto.

This is what Jesus said as it relates to this topic:

And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

Why are you still there?
I can only think that anyone being lead by the hell-bound will be lead into hell.
Surely the words of Jesus should be an eye opener.
If people ran from all the sin that was in the churchs the churches would be empty...we must fellowship somewhere so we won't be bedside congregants....You will always have sin present, because people are being taught the Word of God, but it is obedience that God is looking for. We cannot keep our eye on man, this is why the church is up side down now. No one has power...to rebuke the spirit of disobedience, or they are not trying too. You must be responsible for where you worship and if you are not comfortable with your spiritual leaders walk in life you have the right to seek fellowship elsewhere. I would not sit under a homosexual leader or any other leader who is not walking according to the Word of God, and I would also talk to that person as part of the body of Christ, because where there is sickness in the body it must be some healing.

They should not SIT UNDER the blind.

We really cant do anything about the sick (congregants) that have come to be healed at church - but we dont have to SIT UNDER those that are leaders and not called of God to lead his flock.

Should we sit under 'pedophile' pastors or 'wife beating' pastors and 'bank robbing' pastors and 'whoremongering' pastors?
Of course not.

What is so glorious about homosexual pastors that we should give them more room than any other sexual deviant?
So lets not give more room to homosexuals than we would
