Mission statement
The Exodus project, a Coalition for Social Justice seeks to build a powerful peoples’ movement in Northeastern New Jersey to advocate for public policies that can improve the lives of the disenfranchised within our communities. To achieve this goal we recognize it is a human right to survive economically, and for our families to realize community self-determination. To achieve this we organize at the faith based and grassroots, to increase federal assistance in ensuring smooth transitional Re-entry after incarceration, for people and families struggling to survive economically, increase the availability of services through places of worship, and organizations in our communities, expand the expectations of Public defenders, and provide support for average people needing representation under the law. Where Due process under the law and transitional services are the determining factor in making the current trends of recidivism a thing of the past and in so strengthens the social family foundation of where we live.
