PLEASE Watch this broadcast... I totatlly agree with what Mark Gungor is saying about feminization of men. What are your thoughts??

THE TOPIC OF THIS DISCUSSION IS NOT WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP. SO PLEASE TRY NOT TO GET ONTO THAT TOPIC.

I will admit, Mark Gungor says a lot of stuff in this video and he did get a bit off topic with the husband's concern about feminization. The husband was talking about leadership roles HOWEVER; Mark brought out something different when you think of feminization in the church. And THAT is what I would love to discuss here.

So as you weed thru the video, please pay close attention to what Mark is saying in particular about how society and women especially are feminizing men and especially women in the church are feminizing their boys who become "feminized men" and even "feminized pastors" who are "feelings-based" girly men instead of manly men.

He sums it up by saying...

"DISAPPOINTMENT MAKERS: HOW WOMEN TODAY ARE CREATING MEN THEY CAN'T STAND"

Please watch the ENTIRE video before making your comments. You can fast forward to just the parts dealing with the talk show and not the song if you wish.

ALSO - instead of posting an entire scripture text... please just post the location of the text. We all have bibles and if not we can access the bible online. So, please just post John 3:16 instead of the TEXT of John 3:16. we will go look up the scriptures you post for ourselves -- folk have gotten too lazy and don't want to pick up their bibles anyway (smile)

Thank you in advance for participating in this discussion.

Here are some quotes from Mark Gungor in the video:

"Feminization is about imprinting female values into men."

"boys are being taught by women overwhelmingly..."

"the biggest losers in this are the women because they then windup with men they don't want to be with anyway because the men are feminized and the women are wondering what is wrong with these guys"

"it is not good for men to live by how they feel. it is ok for women but not for men"

"a real man doesn't live by his feelings he lives by his values"

"the feminized man is much more subject to the opinions of the group instead of being a leader" -- this has affected Pastors who have been feminized. Instead of being leaders in the church Pastors become poll takers and want to know how everyone FEELS instead of making a decision because they don't want to offend anyone.

Yeah - women tend to think and move based on their heart (at least difficult decisions) and men who not have not been feminized tend to move based on logic - with much less heart.

I tend to teach my sons one angle at looking at a situation and my husband comes a whole other direction and its usually something concrete and hard - where as I would give leeway to a situation.
And yet teaching my daughter - my husband is mushy...whatever his princess wants is alright with him.
LOL oh I totally understand that Newview. I've been raising a son and a daughter by myself for many many years. My son is 18 now. And the one thing I've realized is that the struggle of the single mom is trying to teach a boy to be a man when you think like a woman!

Girl, I tried so hard to think like a man and a woman so I could be both father and mother to my kids and almost split my personality!!!
Sis,
I can only imagine your dilemma - but I am sure your dilemma pushed to your knees seeking Jesus to be your son's ELDER BROTHER - if you know what I mean. And He is faithful...

God bless :-)
Well, that young man is coming into his own for sure. AND... he is going to seminary... (smile). He has a heart for the kingdom of God and for children. He wants to be a youth and children's minister. AND.... he works at the church with me (GLORY TO GOD... who has been a father to the fatherless).

I have a daughter and son (daughter is age 12 now) MIDDLE SCHOOL YEARS ARE INTERESTING AT BEST!!! LOL)

Their dad has gotten intentionally involved in their lives in the past 5-6 years and that is a blessing in and of itself. God has turned the heart of the father towards the children. (Malachi 4:6)

Did you noticed that verse 6 in Malachi is the LAST record in our Bible between the 400 year of "silence" between book of Malachi and the book of Matthew?

Interesting... the hearts of the fathers will be turned towards their children...and then... silence.
"...Their dad has gotten intentionally involved in their lives in the past 5-6 years and that is a blessing in and of itself. God has turned the heart of the father towards the children. (Malachi 4:6)..."

Bravo! for their dad, Bravo!
Our God sits high but He looks low.

I knew there was silence in between the Old and New Testaments but I will re-read Malachi again because I had not noticed that the hearts of the fathers being turned towards their children - then ---> 'silence again'.
Interesting - I will check it out.
Newview, I like your new look!
Good video - the message was solid and the humor was fun also.
Pat, when I first say Mark Gungor I was like.... what in the world is this man's problem. But when I started LISTENING to what he was saying...then the message became clear. He really has some solid biblical information to share.
Tracy, I like his style of adding humor - it will hold your attention while he's sowing the Word. The beauty of his style is that it doesn't mock the Word. He is showing us that there is a way to be honorable, clean and funny all at the same time. Being holy doesn't necessarily mean we have walk around looking and acting like the stiff-neck Pharisees and Sadducees.
