Ministry to God must take precedence over ministry to the people. The role of a priest is to first minister to God and then to people. 2 Pet.2:9 says, yo are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who have called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. The priest must first minister to God and then to the people. The way that we minister to God is to praise, worship as well as commune with Him in prayer and meditation. What we receive from our Heavenly Father in prayer overflows from us and into the lives of men. Prov.15:8; 1Pet. 2:5; Ephes. 1:4, 5; 2Cor. 5:21 and Heb. 4:16.
