The REAL test of a Prophet! You MUST read this one. I KNOW you will!
Duet 13:1-4: And if there should arise within you a prophet, or one who dreams a dream, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder come to pass which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go and serve other gods, which you know not’; you shall not hearken to the words of that prophet, or the dreamer of that dream, because the Lord your God is testing you, to see whether you love your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall follow the Lord your God, and fear Him, and you shall hear His voice, and attach yourselves to Him.
There are alot of prophets within the Church. These Prophets claim to be of God, and is doing God's work, but there is a criteria that each person of God should go by when hearing from prophets. The criteria is to test him/her against Moses.
How does one test this Prophet against Moses. If the Prophet comes, and speaks a word to you, and it comes true, yet he calls you off to break God's Torah, you should not listen to him. That Prophet is not properly following God's law. One can also say that this Prophet does not even know Torah.
A true Prophet of the Lord's word not only comes true, but this Prophet also abides by Torah, and walks in Torah's lifestyle. It is THESE Prophets that the people of God should adhere to you. Let us Praise God for his awesome, uncompromising word. In Jesus name, Amen.

why do you say test a prophet by what moses did there are other prophets in the bible that followed god why not test one by what jesus did isn't it jesus example we are instructed to follow. just asking that question but over all you make a good point. God bless.

Testing a Prophet by Moses(The Law) was what all Jews did in Old Testament days, and New Testament days. Even Jesus, if needed, would test a Prophet by Moses(The Law). The Old Testament is not done away with. It is just as inspired as the New Testament. We are to test Prophets by the Law just like Jesus would.
