The Whole Armor of God: Ephesians 6:11-18 KJV

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ¹²For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. ¹³Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. ¹⁴Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; ¹⁵And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;¹⁶Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. ¹⁷And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: ¹⁸Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

When we as believers confess our faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Satan becomes angry and intensifies his efforts to destroy our faith in Jesus; if he can’t destroy our faith, he will make it his mission to derail our Christian walk.

Serving an all-wise God, knew that we would be engaged in spiritual warfare; therefore, He dressed His soldiers, believers, in His spiritual armor so that we would be successful in our service to and for Him.

God did so that we can withstand the wiles of the Devil, a roaring lion seeking to destroy all that he can.

We as believers must remember that Satan is a defeated foe, but he continues his attacks on God’s people. Wearing the body armor that God has graciously provided, we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. Jesus told us in His word (John 16:33) fear not because I have already overcome the world.

So, what are we to? We are to proudly wear our God-given body armor and take the fight against Satan, calling our sin whenever and wherever it occurs. We are to stand bold in our faith and mission of proclaiming the gospel message of salvation the world over.

We are to stand on our faith in the truth of God’s word as there is no other truth. His truth will last forever.

We are dressed for battle; therefore, be courageous for God-the Holy Spirit is with us.
