A person on Yahoo Answers asked the following question:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
What exactly does God need us for?
Why did he create us?

If he is testing us, doesn't that make us an evil experiment?

Is he bored of his eternal existence, and created us for amusement?

Are we no more than rats in a lab?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought it was interesting enough to place it here.
I do not want to know your answer, there is nothing to convince me of.
You are talking to a person (the question writer) in your position as one who is serving God.
How do you answer the questions posed, what do you say.
Quoting scriptures does not help one who does not know the bible, so don't.

Speak as if they are in front of you, asking you and you can see the pain of the spirit.

My answer is below --- What is yours?
Oh and please do not argue with my answer it does not exist in your conversation with this person.

God does not need us, we need God.
We were created to be with God and to worship God.
God tests us to show us that we need God. Satan makes you an evil experiment, read Job.

hmmm, Is God bored, are we amusement?
Some times I think so. But God has reasons that are beyond are comprehension so we can think what we want and still never know. Good guess though.

Are we no more than rats in a lab, hmmmmmmmmm, could be.
When you follow the commands and will of God and you open yourself to the Holy Spirit you can get a better understanding. If you follow the naysayers who declare there is no God then you will never know.

Although the bible is filled with the pronoun He in reference to God it is totally wrong to think of God in human terms or having human reasons. That is why Jesus came so God could experience us firsthand and get some idea of what we are about.
If we are an experiment then we are well outside of our design parameters with Satan help.

We are lab rats that have some degree of control over the experiment design and outcome.
Judaism, Christianity, Islam and all the philosophies and other religious attempts called pagan have one end to mesh with God and no one has got it correct yet.

Believers or non believer all we can do is our best, hate and evil do work against us.
