What is Evil?

Talking with sisters and brothers about world events and the history of  humanity's inhumanity to humanity the question came up: What is evil? Where does it reside? How does it operate?

I'll try to condense my response into as few words as possible.

Evil is a psychological virus. It is symptomatic of attacking organisms bound together by love. It tries to break apart those bonds, thereby separating those organisms, thereby destroying the weaker organisms that need others for strength.
