Kingdom Greetings Everyone?

I recently had a bible discussion with some other saints regarding idolatry, and the question of Lottery vs. Mutual Funds(stocks) came up

the question was What's the difference between playing the Lottery and getting into the stock market?

Are they both right or is one right and the other wrong? and why?

I told the person I would research it because I honestly could not give them an answer? the only thing that came to mind at that time was the soldiers gambling over Jesus' clothes.

So while I do my study, I am asking for help?
