Which Jesus/Yeshua Christ/YHWH are you following?

I was just reading a book entitled, “Jesus of Suburbia” … in this book the author goes to great lengths to make the contrast between the Jesus/Yeshua of Nazareth vs. the Jesus/Yeshua of the Suburbs… I have to agree with the author, Christianity is split on the Person and Work of Jesus/Yeshua Christ/YHWH… many have an distorted view and understanding of Jesus/Yeshua Christ/YHWH of Nazareth… like Judas, many thought/thinke He came to over power the social, economical and political world structures… for many they preach and follow a Jesus/Yeshua that’s similar to a catastrophic Santa Claus… that’s the Jesus/Yeshua of Suburbia… Whereas, the Jesus/Yeshua of Nazareth never promised His followers world riches, fame, social or economic structure… but He did promise His followers a cross, a crown, and eternity with Him...

The message of Yeshua has become very twisted in America (and probably some other areas) to try and fit it within the American culture. Did He say He came that we'd have life and life more abundantly? Yes. Did the scripture say that by His stripes we are healed? Yes, this can be evidenced by when Paul was bitten by the snake and everyone around expected him to die but it didn't harm him.

I think though, that the Western church has too often mistaken the abundance with the fulfillment of greed. Yeshua gave us the illustration of the birds in the air and lillies of the field. They sow not but are provided for greatly, so how much more shall God do for us? When we are in a state of want/lust/greed/wrongful desire for things, it is as though we are a sheep trying to run outside of the pasture that the shepherd has given us to graze. The problem in that scenario is that we have begun to look at those things to fulfill us, and tried to twist it to make it appear to have to do with faith. In essence though, it is not. When we humble ourselves and start looking for our fulfillment in Him rather than those things, we realize their insignificance no matter how much or little of them we possess, and that is where we are truly blessed.; ▶ Reply to This

I personally think the question as with a lot of questions on this forum are asked to stir up emotional strife. Why does it matter that I call Him Jesus and "you" (somebody else) calls him by another name.
I believe that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue must confess that He is Lord. God Bless

If we lived to be 1 million years old we would never and I say never know all their is to know about YHWH. Now I know that this statement is going to get me kick off the site for sure. LOL but I do not care it is about the truth. There so called je/sus does not even know everything about g(o)d and he is suppose to be g(o)d. LOL How is that? for surly he has to wait for g(o)d to tell him when to come back. Just something for tonio to think about .

It is important to get that person's name right because it could be an offense to them. How would you like it if someone called you out of your name? When some say's god my question which one are you talking about? For there are many gods.
If this is a personal relationship then we must have a intimacy and you would not marry someone and not know there name. From a historical standpoint there are many errors that we as a people do not see and just accept what we are told and do not pray about it and seek to please the master. Permalink Reply by M on October 13, 2009 at 5:25pm: The scripture states the there is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved. I do not beleive it said you can call him any other name. We have learned the name of JESUS from a Greco Roman English mistranslations:

Ies - Greek goddess
Iesous - Greek (son of Zeus)
Iesus - Latin
Jesus - English (Means the horse in Hebrew, but the horse is a vain thing for safety).

The word says that a diligent man (or woman) will search out a matter. The letter "J" was not invented until the 1600's. Read the Word and you will find that the Hebrews (us) had started calling Yahweh by the name of Baal (Lord). He said in His Word, You will no longer call me Baali." He also stated the they (Hebrews) refused to use His name, Yahweh.

Yes, it does matter what we call Him... or at the least out of respect for who He is.

Would it be ok for a child to call you anything...I thing the answer is obviously no.

It is the goal of Satan to confuse and to mislead. Sadly, he has succeed by having people to call on him through the word Lord (Baal)

However, let me tell you that TRINITY is not scriptural!

Before the Return of Jesus Christ all who truly belong to the church of Jesus Christ have to return to the original doctrine and practice of the apostles and by faith and obedience being brought in perfect harmony with God and His Word.

God has never been a triune God. Trinity is not scriptural.

You cannot divide the unique God into three coequal and coendless persons(God The Father, God The Son (Jesus) and God The Holy Ghost).

God is ONE PERSON who manifested Himself of THREE WAYS:

- as the only God and Father of everything who is above all

- as the only God came in a body of flesh to save us

- as the only God in us all by the Holy Ghost.

I do not see three persons but different demonstrations of the same God here.

Ephesians 4: 5-6; 1 Timothy 3:16; Matthew 1:23; John 1: 14; Esaiah 9:5; Esaiah 35:4-6 etc.

The Scripture tells us that God was in Christ When Jesus Christ was here on earth, and in Him dwelled the fullness of the Godhead bodily, all the great powers of God was in His Son, Christ Jesus. For the reconciling the world to Himself. Amen!

The name most people think is the messiah,s name is very easy to see that this cannot be true. I understand the loyalty to people we love. But our loyalty and love for the truth has to be greater. Scripture teaches that the only thing that set us free is the truth.
