Which Jesus/Yeshua Christ/YHWH are you following?

I was just reading a book entitled, “Jesus of Suburbia” … in this book the author goes to great lengths to make the contrast between the Jesus/Yeshua of Nazareth vs. the Jesus/Yeshua of the Suburbs… I have to agree with the author, Christianity is split on the Person and Work of Jesus/Yeshua Christ/YHWH… many have an distorted view and understanding of Jesus/Yeshua Christ/YHWH of Nazareth… like Judas, many thought/thinke He came to over power the social, economical and political world structures… for many they preach and follow a Jesus/Yeshua that’s similar to a catastrophic Santa Claus… that’s the Jesus/Yeshua of Suburbia… Whereas, the Jesus/Yeshua of Nazareth never promised His followers world riches, fame, social or economic structure… but He did promise His followers a cross, a crown, and eternity with Him...

Which Jesus/Yeshua Christ/YHWH are you teaching, preaching, and following?

Brother YahsNiviim, they were not married. My mother never married my biological father. She did marry a gentleman who accepted us as his own, and took care of us as a father would do.

I am sorry to hear that I as well as an out of marriage event but I still have my father name. In fact I look just like my grandfather preach and all. I am just glad I will not be judged by what my father and my father did. But there is still a confidence that we have that when my mother and father forsake me then YHWH will take me up. HalleluYah

I named my son after me. He's 11 years old and has a passion for people just like I do.

Yes, if more of us would get out into the streets and homes to let them know salvation is available to them. They don't have to go through depression, addictions, stress..etc. They can be set free if the turn to the Lord.

Side bar:

The reason why the name Jesus never "sat right" with me is simple. If I went to Spain, or Italy, or Russian, or anywhere else in the world, no matter what language they were speaking they would still refer to as Kelvin. They might say "Bonjour monsieur Kelvin" if they were speaking French, or "Hola Kelvin" if they were speaking Spanish but they'd still call me Kelvin. In the same, I see significance in calling Yeshua (or Yashua/Yahushua depending on how you spell it) the same way and not creating a whole new name.

On another note :) , Yeshua is also southern for Yes you are. Haven't you ever heard some old lady talking to a baby saying, "yesh-you-are just the cutest little thing." -lol-
Okay, I know the joke part is lame. Disregard...

Here is something I found that confirmed what I said about christians and the title christians.
According to The Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible, the word Christos was easily confused with the common Greek proper name Chrestos, meaning "good." According to a French theological dictionary, it is absolutely beyond doubt that Christus and Chrestus, and Christiani and Chrestiani were used indifferently by the profane and Christian authors of the first two centuries A.D. The word Christianos is a Latinism, being contributed neither by the Jews nor by the Christians themselves. The word was introduced from one of three origins: the Roman police, the Roman populace, or an unspecified pagan origin. Its infrequent use in the New Testament suggests a pagan origin.
According to Realencyclopaedie, the inscription Chrestos is to be seen on a Mithras relief in the Vatican. According to Christianity and Mythology, Osiris, the Sun-deity of Egypt, was reverenced as Chrestos. In the Synagogue of the Marcionites on Mount Hermon, built in the third century A.D., the Messiah's title is spelled Chrestos. According to Tertullian and Lactantius, the common people usually called Christ Chrestos.
