WOMEN WEARING PANTS IN CHURCH....

[HOPE - Psalm 43:5]

Over the years, I have heard many men and women in the holiness denominations say that women shouldn't wear pants in the church.

Were is the scripture to support the ideology that women shouldn't wear pants? If it is in scripture then I would have to ask why are men wearing pants? Did men wear pants in biblical times or did their wear something that covered their loins and then long robe like attire? I mean isn't that what you depict in your biblical plays? So why aren't the men being asked to wear similar apparel in the church to maintain a outward appearance of holiness? Why aren't they asked to not cut their hair (both facial and head)

What are the clothing designations for men in the holiness denominations.

After all, without holiness NO man/woman shall see God.....

Hey BPN family! Everyone should go to church in their Sunday's best! Whatever that may be! Some ppl don't have what others may call the best but, it's what they have! As long as they are clean it shouldn't matter. Clothes will rot like the flesh so we should be concerned about our souls! If other ppls attire bothers anyone they should do the Godly thing & make purchase of what IS presentable. God wants us to have the best! In return as His children we should respectfully dress on Sunday. Clean on the inside clean on the outside:)!

The first thing we have to understand is that God made man naked. It was man who covered himself, and man who has made all the fashions that we wear. For me, personally, I don't wear pants, but it's not because I've found any biblical support telling me not to. It's because I see we have different fashion for different occasions and once again, those were created by man. So I figure, if I go to a Graduation or a Wedding, a Prom or Bowling, I dress appropriately according to the fashions delegated for those events so why wouldn't I give God the same respect. I do not look down on or pass judgment on women who wear pants because I am open minded and I understand man made clothes.

Please click on this link to listen to "Get off Your Denomination and Do The Work Of The LORD". There are too many denominational differences which are keeping people from doing the work of the LORD. There are no NEW TESTAMENT Scriptures which talk about women wearing pants. The Scripture DOES talk about women wearing modest apparel but there is no Scripture speaking directly about women wearing pants. Things like women wearing pants, perming her hair, women speaking in the church are distractions which keep people from doing the work of the LORD JESUS CHRIST which is to go and make disciples - followers of JESUS CHRIST. Time to get off of these isms and schisms and do the work of the LORD JESUS CHRIST - with or without pants (women). We must check our hearts and see whether we be in CHRIST or in DENOMINATIONAL BONDAGE!!!

Dear Saints,

We must dress modestly.  In Biblical times every one wore what we today would describe as dresses or skirts.  However, I have seen attire that is not appropriate for women of God to wear.  The pants are tight and very revealing.  I was once told by an unsaved man about the Sunday service, "I was not listening to the preacher, I was looking at the women in their revealing clothes."  Oh, how things have changed,  It is very unsettling to see the panty-lines, thongs and tattoos showing at the top of backsides. It has truly gotten out of hand.  We have liberty, but we are not to use our liberty as an occasion to sin  or cause others to sin.  The Bible  says that if a man looketh on a woman in lust he has sinned.  Where does that leave the brothers who have come to worship and all around him are women who have dressed, not for worship of God, but for enticement and adoration of self.

All I'm  saying is in all your ways acknowledge the Lord, and He will direct your paths.  Shalom

I grew up in a church that preached women should not wear pants because it is a man's garment, I am so very happy today that they have since changed (after i left) that nonbiblical teaching, because as i stated then i will state now, Pants are not a man's garment according to the Bible, as a matter of facts, pants was not yet invented when the word was written concerning a man's garment and according to the type of garment that men used back then, a woman could not used it because "Bras" was not yet invented too, and she would of been totally exposed to the top especially if she was full sized

I strongly believe that I will forever rest on GRACE than pitch my tent on the confusions and slavery characteristics of THE LAW! So, pants or no pants, we need to preach Christ and Christ crucified and every other thing will fall in place.
