Over the years, I have heard many men and women in the holiness denominations say that women shouldn't wear pants in the church.

Were is the scripture to support the ideology that women shouldn't wear pants? If it is in scripture then I would have to ask why are men wearing pants? Did men wear pants in biblical times or did their wear something that covered their loins and then long robe like attire? I mean isn't that what you depict in your biblical plays? So why aren't the men being asked to wear similar apparel in the church to maintain a outward appearance of holiness? Why aren't they asked to not cut their hair (both facial and head)

What are the clothing designations for men in the holiness denominations.

After all, without holiness NO man/woman shall see God.....

Bishop, you said a mouthful ... I don't think it is necessarily a biblical doctrinal issue.. but then again.. you must submit to the ORDER and model of ministry that GOD has set you under... that IS biblical. First the natural then the spiritual.. when we sat under order of our parents we didn't agree with everything but we submitted to the ORDER else we suffered.. how will we not do the same in the house of our spiritual parents.

Truthfully it has never been about the clothes - pants or otherwise - but about the set ORDER of that HOUSE. Submit to the order. If wearing pants means that much to you then you have a decision to make. But be careful in doing so.

I am with you on that one my brother. There is no scripture to back the idealogy and I don't have a problem with it either way but like you, my preference is to see women in dresses or suits when in church, yet I am not about to get upset if they choose to wear pants. We minor in the major and major in the minors and that is why there is so much confusion in the church today; we need to get back to being "The Body Of Christ"!
Wow. It's as though I said it myself. Goodness gracious. Let's just be very sure that our inner-man is adorned in righteousness and true holiness and our outward man will reflect the image of Christ and THAT will win souls to Christ. You see, though our outward man perish (it's dying y'all), our inner-man is being renewed day by day (2Co 4:16). Believe me, it won't matter at all on the way out. I guarantee you God will not judge your outward appearance but will look on the content and condition of your heart (1Sa 16:7). I have SEEN one passing away and transitioning out of the body. I beheld that what God was looking upon when he received them was not on the outside of that body. It was in the heart, the soul. Our salvation is working for us much more than the natural eye can see but an eternal weight of glory (2 Cor. 4:17) which is so much more advanced than a pair of pants. But if it offends "you" I won't wear it around "you" (Rom. 14:1-20).

Rom 14:14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
Rom 14:15 But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
Rom 14:16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Rom 14:18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
Rom 14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify ("build up", not "tear you up") another.
Rom 14:20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.

2Co 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
AMEN...AMEN...AMEN! Thank you woman of God! I rather God judge me on some pants than judge me a liar, fornicator, adulter, murderer, gossip, hypocrite, immoral, a Jezebel or a Judas, a false prophet, robber etc...
Amennnnn-Amen and AMEN
