WOMEN WEARING PANTS IN CHURCH....

[HOPE - Psalm 43:5]

Over the years, I have heard many men and women in the holiness denominations say that women shouldn't wear pants in the church.

Were is the scripture to support the ideology that women shouldn't wear pants? If it is in scripture then I would have to ask why are men wearing pants? Did men wear pants in biblical times or did their wear something that covered their loins and then long robe like attire? I mean isn't that what you depict in your biblical plays? So why aren't the men being asked to wear similar apparel in the church to maintain a outward appearance of holiness? Why aren't they asked to not cut their hair (both facial and head)

What are the clothing designations for men in the holiness denominations.

After all, without holiness NO man/woman shall see God.....

AMEN i AGREE.. HOWEVER THRU THE YRS. THE OLDER SAINTS USED THE SCRIPTURE { FORBIDDING WOMEN TO WEAR APPEARL OF A MAN } AS A WAY SO SAY FEMALES SHOULD NOT WEAR PANTS. I PERSONNALLY WAS RAISED THAT WAY BY MY GRANDMOTHER & FATHER , {RIP} BOTH OF U!! TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOR THE TEACHING. BEING SAVED AND FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT @ THE AGE OF 12. WELL, IT WAS QUITE TRYING, GOING TO FOOTBALL GAMES AND CARNIVALS. NOT TO MENTION I WAS THE ONLY GIRL WITH MY BROTHER & 3 COUSINS, THE MAJORITY OF THE TIME. I COULD NOT WEAR PANTS, MAKE-UP, EXCESSIVE JEWELRY, COLORED POLISH ON MY NAILS OR TOES. HA-HA LOL
I WAS ALMOST LIKE STEVE HARVEY>> JOKED ONCE AND SAID FORGET THIS GOING TO HEAVEN STUFF IT'S WAYYYY TOO MUCH WORK.. LOL BUT GLORY TO GOD !! I don't see a problem with women wearing pants to church, I believe the issue is the type of pants that are being worn. There are some pants that are inappropriate to wear in God's house simply because perversion can become aroused in the minds of the congregates, causing them to miss the message from God. I believe that this is more of the reason why some do not allow women to wear pants in church. I believe modesty is an appropriate response to being a representative of Christ whether in church or out. A woman can look sexy and appealing even in modest apparel.

Mighty Men of Valor, married or single, how are you treating Ladies today? comparable to the respect that Jesus had for them. Our flesh should be so absent that it is below measure. Deut 22:5 gives you a clarification on what is the proper attire for men and women.  So it is scriptural.

However, that is not the totality being Christian and what is proper.  We must take that scripture and being under the law (OT) and that we are now under grace.  However, as you grow in grace, you will define it as a definitive part of who you are based on your church teachings,  and personal relationship with God.

I think that we are showing examples of what the unsaved will encounter when they get in church.  Confusion, misinformation, disagreement, bickering and strife.  This is the perfect spot.
