Let Us Work To Find The Truth

Truth, what is it? Truth is that which is real, it is without multiple interpretations; it is the one solid fact pertaining to the question. In our churches today we have many denominations, and in them, there are of course variations of doctrine. Those doctrines are held by each denomination as truth. The problem with this statement is this. If “truth” has no multiple interpretations, and has only one solid fact behind it then by pure common sense we see that finding such truth in our churches today grows harder each day. With each new church denomination that opens we see more confusion, and a greater haze placed on total truth.

How do we find real truth? Is it important to us to know that we are following God’s true Word? Do we find it tolerable to have a little of man’s theory’s placed in our doctrine? If we did come to the point of knowing all truth, where would faith come into play? Where would trust, or depending on God come in? But truth is important isn’t it? No one wants to follow half truths or lies. So the problem now comes to find that one truth. What does the Word of God say about finding the truth? In John 16; 13 we read: But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. We read also in Matthew 7:7 that: "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Truth is available to all that what? It says to all that “seek.”

Many people have said that they lack in the wisdom to understand the Bible. To this I point out: James 1:5. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. Real truth comes from God and his Holy Spirit. If we read in 1 John 2:27 we see that it tells us. “As for you, the anointing you received from him (Holy Spirit) remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit--just as it has taught you, remain in him.” What is all this saying to us? It is simple saying this. The truth problem in today’s churches comes from to many people having gone looking for truth in man. Not even asking God himself. They have been taught half truths or no truth by the false prophets seeking self gain and glory. If we want truth, we must seek him, and the Holy Spirit.

Now by no means is this saying for us not to listen to our pastors. What it is saying is for us to get into the Word of God ourselves. It is vitally important for us to seek a relationship with our God, and not simply to listen to a weekly lecture and be done with it. In doing this we will know the true spirit of God and not the “lookalike that walks to and fro. How long has it been since we read his Word and compared it to what we see and hear in our Church walls? There is enough confusion on truth today, let us work to find the truth, and not simply another denomination. God bless you.
