Truth, how many of us believe that it exists. How many of us have dug thru the muddy waters of the compiled doctrines and theories
and came out with only bits and pieces of what seemed to be truth. The people not
excepting what is truth and deciding to bring in their own version of that truth has
now ultimately created a big cooking pot of doctrinal soup. Just dip in and grab a bowl
of whatever comes out. Maybe you will get the good stuff, maybe you wont. How do we
know that what we hear is indeed truth? Do you believe truth can be found in
the inspired Word of God?

All of us as Christians, or at least I hope all of us, have searched for that one
truth we will hold to, till that day we pass on. The truth that will make us all
feel warm and comfortable about ourselves and our lifestyles. But wait- often
it seems real truth can make us feel uncomfortable doesn’t it? Godly truth
might convict us and most of us don’t like that feeling. For this reason we go
searching for yet another “truth”. How bad do we want total truth? Can we handle the truth? Will we accept the truth as truth or do as others and try to remold it?

To find total Godly truth, first we must be willing to fully submit to God’s will. We must
be willing to lay down all opinions and thoughts we may have. We have to be
fully ready to accept his Word for truth period. Can we do that? How many of
us like to question everything before we submit to it? In this world that’s
makes us smart- right? But perhaps it also hurts us in understanding the things
God is trying to show us. Is it ok to question things as a child learning- sure
it is. But we must be careful that our questioning doesn’t turn to simply
rebellion. God wants us to search and question. He wants us to care enough to go
looking for answers. When we do so, he promises that we will also find it.

In John 8:31 it reads- Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Notice first that this scripture says
“if ye continue” meaning if you press on even through you may fail at times,
and fall short. Jesus says you are his disciple and he will reveal to you truth,
and that it will set you free. Also in Matthew 7; 7 we read - Ask,
and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it
shall be opened unto you.
Please note that this scripture says
“seek” meaning an action word. We must go after the truth- amen. God promises
that if we love truth enough to seek it and continue in it, he will open our
eyes to all truth, and the bonds of ignorance will be broken.

1 John reads; But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the
same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and
even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
Search God and seek your
answers directly from him. Listen to his spirit, and trust him. Know your Bible
as the blueprint of your future, for it is your reference.
