Power, is a word that grasp the action of almost every human being on this planet. The strength or speed of a super hero had us all captivated as children. The want to be more than we already are, has filled the minds of every person, I believe. But God tells us we have a power in him as well. Jesus did many miracles within his life on earth, and told us in John 14:12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. Wow, Jesus said if we believe in him and his miracles, we will do even greater works!

How many of us in the Church believe this power is real?  I speak of the power to move mountains, to heal the sick and deliver those in bondage into freedom. To stand face to face with Satan, and to tell him to “be gone”, “to let his people go” How many of us in the Church can say we see that today? If not, why? I think I can help answer that. The Word of God shows us that there are signs that will follow those that believe. In mark 16 we read: And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues. They will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." Perhaps the lack of power in the Church is a lack of believing? Perhaps in today’s world to truly believe in such power would make us thought of as slightly disturbed? We raise our hands in worship, but do we fail to accept the power due to persecution? Or do we just not really believe?

The Holy Spirit has been speaking of reformation in the body of Christ. He has been speaking of the “new thing” that is coming and a renewing Pentecost for the faithful believers. Perhaps with this will also come a renewed power in Christ? A manifestation of his glory and power through the works of his true people, and the actions of his one church, will be seen again. We as Christians read the scriptures and many call recall them better than parrots, but the Holy Spirit is saying today that many more of us need to truly believe and accept them as his promise to us and that they are indeed real. We are at war with evil. In war no one is called out to fight unless they are armed correct? They are trained, and equipped. The church is our basic training center, the minister our drill instructor, and the Holy Spirit our enabler. Perhaps part of the problem is too many are not doing this. God house has become a house of entertainment rather than a house of worship and training.

Today a gathering of his anointed people is in the works. The Holy Spirit is moving through-out the earth and preparing his people for what is to come. The question today is” do you believe” and will you carry this sword for Jesus? Will you allow us to work together to shaper those swords, for in Proverbs 27:17 we read: As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another? If so, today begins the birth of the army of the Lord.
