Interesting enough, I was taught that a preacher has not preached if he does not go to Calvary. This, of course, was considered to be the gospel proper and thus preaching by definition. Is this conventional wisdom any good? What do you guys think? Has one really preached the gospel, if he does not speak of Jesus death and Resurrection?

Pastor Solomon, this is a very good subject matter that you have given us, if there is only 1 true gospel how then can a man be saved ? The Apostle Paul clearly tells us in 1 Corthians 1:23 that we preach Christ crucified, if a sinner doesn't know that Christ has died for his sins how then can he be saved, no if a preacher doesn't go to Calvary he has just given a great spirit filled speach.
truly, if one does not preach Yahshua, and what he has done for us, then they come to us with another gospel. Sha'ul says they are accursed. It is by the blood of Yahshua that man is saved, and when we are saved, to adhere to the laws of Yahweh.
