Christians face a spiritual conflict with Satan and a host of evil spirits. These powers of darkness are the spiritual forces of evil who energize the ungodly. Oppose the will of God and frequently attack the believers of this age. (Life in The Spirit Study Bible)

Demons also use their voices to talk. They enslave and influence individuals toward evil, immorality and destruction (Life in The Spirit Study Bible)
