I have recently heard of these new clubs called Christian nightclubs. Christian and nightclub? How can we use these two words together? There is no such thing!!! This is a ploy of the enemy to get all of us young and old off the path that God has for us. What a tragedy for Christians to fall for such a trap. Christians, we should no better.

First: Nightclub? Where should we be and what should we be focused on, on the weekends? Gathering together for corporate worship, Hebrews 10:25, Psalm 92:13-14 and Matthew 9:35-36. It was Jesus custom to go to the synagogue on the Sabbath, Luke 4:15-16, Matthew 4:23, Matthew 12:9, Matthew 13:34, Mark 1:21, Mark 1:29, Mark 3:1, and Mark 6:2. If it was Jesus custom then shouldn’t it be ours? Some may say, “Well, it was His custom because He was a teacher, I am not.” Who did He teach? People like you who aren’t a teacher, as well as those who were teachers.

If we stay out all hours of the night, we are not going to be able to connect with the Spirit, to be able to receive the Word that is being preached, which will contain answers for our lives. Most likely, we will walk out of the service the same way we came. Our main focus, as Christians, should be to advance the Kingdom of God, pressing toward the Mark of the prize of the high call, Philippians 3:14. Can we have fun and fellowship while on this journey? Of course, but it’s the God kind of fun. What fruit will it produce to dance to Christian music, with the opposite sex, into the late hours of the night? There is something about being out late at night, with the opposite sex, that lends to sexual behavior. First of all, you are up way past your normal bedtime, which makes you vulnerable to yield, because you are tired. II Corinthians 2:1 tells us that we, as Christians, are not ignorant of the enemies devices. Ephesians 4:27 tells us to not give the enemy place. II Corinthians 6:17 tells us to come out from among them (the world) and be ye separate. Now listen, there are many more scriptures but I will stop with these. I think I have made my point.

What would Jesus do? He came to earth to show us how to do it. He never got involved in such things. He ate with sinners, but not for fellowship, it was because they needed a spiritual doctor to resurrect them. Don’t BE deceived!!! So called Christian nightclubs are a way for the natural man (human), who doesn’t want to grow up, who likes his carnality, to justify his sin. There is no such thing as a Christian nightclub. It’s the devil’s disguise to ware you down. It’s his slow cooker for Christians. While you are cooking, all of hell is standing around the pot laughing, and having a nightclub party of their own, while you die.

Christian fellowship is Christian fellowship because of a Christian atmosphere. Christian fellowship is filled with the Holy Spirit. I would not want to spend the evening in a night club with people I don’t know, nor would I want to spend an evening watching 4 hours of television. It’s not just an atmosphere issue, it’s a “waste of time” issue as well. My entire focus is fulfilling my call and purpose which is a specific assignment to advance the kingdom of God, to bring in the precious fruit of the earth, (the lost). We need to be focused on filling up with spiritual things. Which includes, fellowship with like minded people, whether it be at an amusement park or a church activity within the church etc. There is a big difference between an amusement park and a nightclub, whether the nightclub be no alcohol, no secular music, or what have you, there is a difference. We all have a desire for fellowship. We were created with that desire. It’s a hunger within for fellowship; without it we can get restless and lonely, which can be a distraction from the things of God. Those who hunger and thirst after the righteousness of God will be filled, Matthew 5:6. Filled with what? Filled with the righteousness of God, which is His way of doing and being right. What you are hungry for is what you will be filled with. I believe these nightclubs labeled “Christian” will cause you to develop and appetite for the world because they are flavored with the world. They have artificial flavoring, if you will. The more you give yourself to spiritual things, the greater your appetite for spiritual things will be and vice versa.

Philippians 2:1-2
If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Apostle Paul is saying, “Fulfill ye my joy…” How do we do this? By the fellowship of the Spirit, with likeminded people who love each other as Christ loves us, in one accord, of mind.

We cannot have fellowship of the Spirit with the world (people who think like the world).

We need to be leading the world, not the world leading us. The church needs to be setting the standard not the world.

I have made my point, take heed, do not be deceived. It matters where you spend your time, and with whom.  www.solidfrontforchrist.us.com
