With Gospel music you are maybe I will say pesonally takes me to a place to be with God and to worship. It's leaving my "veheicle" meaning "myself" and commuening with Him. .

If it stirs the soul to want to be more like Jesus or if it sustains you during your times of hurt or trouble, than yes it is really gospel music. If it just entertains and the actions behind it are worldly, than it is what it is, making music while playung church. True gospel music stirs the soul, and draws us closer to Christ.

I believe that if you pay attention to the content of the music, you can discern, wether or not the artist is anointed, or not (if it's God inspired). I used to not listen to gospel music, when i was in the world, because it seemed so dry sometimes, but now that God has allowed us to use every type of music to worship, then lets make some music together, i wish to one day produce some good, Gospel music, and Hip Hop and R&B gospel, will not be exempt.
